That's pretty good and it's about as fast as my '95 k1500 5.7. I should try shifting like that though and is that a 3 speed and is 3rd overdrive or what
@juniorcarlover I use the selector sometimes. That's what makes the E4OD handy. Especially when getting the heavy truck up to speed going onto a highway. You gotta do that with a 302. Take the thing to the end. Not exactly a torque monster
@suchfunstuff yea them 302's dont pick up till around 3k rpm. i guess for me its also the fun factor though haha need to do something to enjoy the auto
You where not doing 60 in 2nd! how is that even possible? mine tops out @30-40 in 2nd

@juniorcarlover The 4.6 has some serious top end though. I like the 5.0 its a really good motor so is the 4.6. Ford did really good on those two.

its not bad for it. its just letting me control when it shifts, it doesnt hurt it at all.
besides the e40d is bulletproof. shifting like that is the same thing as a semi
automatic car, like paddle shifters or tip shift
