  • Thumbs up if you're listening to this in 2011 XD

  • This is beautiful. I've been looking for chords because I want to do it in my band. Anyone have 'em?

  • For some reason Patti reminds me of Tinkerbell in this video

  • T'is simply beautiful.

  • only 45 thousand views? i love the 50's...

  • very good voice but the dress is so kitch!!!

  • The original record was released in the late 1940s and I remember my parents getting in on a 10-inch record with the black and white Mercury label. The song was based on a French song titled "Bolero" but had nothing to do with Ravel's "Balero," as was mistakenly written hundreds of times. The record got to #2 and set the stage for "Tennessee Waltz" and all the gigantic hits to follow. The song was a highlight of Patti's concerts and club performances.

  • Love to play this on my keyboard, play it in Beguine on Tyros 2 keyboard.Sorry no video. Don't have a camera.Art

  • Re: Patti Page's cheekbones. I'm pretty sure I read that she's part Indian. What a beauty!

  • "Tennessee Waltz" came out in 1950 and was a monster hit. I'm sure it was a #1 song.

  • A very beautiful oldie song.....Percy Faith's version is so very nice, too.

  • great cheekbones.

  • This is a fine performance from Patti Page in the late 1950s. It was before the use of the hand held microphone. In the 1950s producers and directors of TV shows did not like the microphone to be visible. A large microphone was suspended on the end of a long pole-like devise that was not supposed to be visible to the audience at home. It was somewhat like singing into a speaker phone. Therefore the sound quality was not the best.

  • A Love Song never had a better friend than

    patti page what a doll

  • wonderful song from a wonderful lady. She still performs to date. I went to her concert last Sept. 6, 2009 at Araneta Coliseum, Philippines. Amazing person. I really admire her since then. She has my love and respect till the end.

  • The song was an adaptation of a French hit, "Bolero." It had nothing to do with Ravel's "Bolero" as is constantly misreported. Went to #2, Patti's biggest hit to that point.

  • What a doll!!!!
