Humans are dramatic. If we wanted to be entirely happy forever, we wouldn't go to war, etc. Not everyone is willing to connect to the ideal where only positive emotions exist because we are flawed in nature. Also, humans are not the only cause of negative occurances, there are randomized things at play constantly, leaving room for mishaps. If a conscious being is to take negative occurances and react in a positive way, then how can we become insightful and intellegent? Evolution requires a push

Physics defines sound as a wave. If the wave exists, the sound exists. Just because you can't hear it doesn't mean it isn't there. Everything in the world vibrates and emits waves, audible or otherwise. If the wave falls into the audible portion of the spectrum of wavelengths, I think it's pretty safe to say that a sound is there.

I dont think its boring either. emotion stretches to love and contentity and intelectual happiness. Negative emotions can be usefull but only if they improve positive emotion some way down the line. :P
I've already seen Zeitgeist- Moving Forward. It's amazing, but I can't see this happening in my life time. Is it possible for it to happen? Yes, I really hope so, but If it does happen i just hope it's before we run out of oil, because the monopolists will stop at nothing to get their oil. For example, the war on "terrorism."
Moving Forward is awesome. I'm hoping someone will make a video fact checking it though because the first one was said to contain quite a few dodgy facts and of course it also advocates the 9/11 conspiracy theory.
@PaddyCuinne Hey Paddy, maybe I'm wrong but i think the philosophical mind ultimately leads to a nihilistic state of mind, as you've just said in this comment that u went 'through' a nihilistic stage, would you put it that way for yourself, or was your nihilism just the average teenage angst? If not can you tell me what point to life you have found, whether found meaning or created your own? You may think 'If your nihilist then why ask this etc.' i don't know either. anyway cheers!
@THEGUVNOR91 My nihilism was one made up of major depression applied to philosophy. I came out of it due to the use of hallucinagenic mushrooms and realised the meaning of life is emotion and got help.
