Yeah it is considered a Brazilian kind of Martial Arts, but in fact its origins are from Africa and Portugal. When the first Portuguese Settlers moved to Brazil they took African slaves with them and therefore when the 2 cultures mixed with the Native Brazilians the various Martial Arts they practised was mixed into one and capoeira was born!!!
