  • this is scary as hell...

  • This dance is hauntingly beautiful I love the mystery. What a graceful beauty.

  • what do japanese folklore have to do with bellydancing? This is a terrible mixture and it makes no sense.

  • @YummYp00p I think its a beautiful blend. :)

  • obake....ahhhhhh hawaii obake

  • man she looks like a ghost. its kindof creepy....

  • Aside from the awful camera work, which is blurry and jerks enough to give me motion sickness, this was a very haunting and beautiful dance. Thank you for posting it.

  • the average person will pay attention for about 3 minutes before they are bored and ready for something new. I wish this girl would have started captivating the audience prior to 4 minutes into the dance. Other than that.. great job.

  • inspiring =D

  • staje for!!!

  • what's the song?

  • this is cool but a little creepy...

It looks kinda like the thing I saw in a dollar store...boy was it creepy...

  • She's telling a story, and I think that is beautiful and interesting and takes a lot of talent. Perhaps the movements are just too subtle for some, but I loved it. Great job!

  • It didn't really get interesting until she used the fans but overall it was interesting. By the way, anyone know where I can get fans like that? Awesome!!

  • very interesting

  • Oh, I get it!!! this is the girl from The Ring! Where's the TV?

  • I know your comment is from two months ago, but I had to reply to it to give you tons of credit. Thew Ring! no TV lmfao

  • LOL what this? someone making fun of bellydance??

  • i agree.too boring for me.

  • its boring

  • Great Yuurei influence on the outfit and styling.

  • This is actually very beautiful. What is the music called?

  • I know the first song is from Arcana, "In Search of the Divine". The people casually talking in the background, blatantly showing disinterest drives me nuts.

  • I have to agree with you. She obviously put a lot of thought into this piece.

  • Although I wonder if their are vendors in the back of the room like a lot of other dance shows. That would account for alteast some of the noise.

  • anybody has her e mail ?

  • Slow dancing, and slow bellydancing - it's new to me, now i'm currently watching them all day, gothic, and industrial, and such things.

    new word: industribal :D

  • OH! there are hip movements towards the end!

  • Glad I found this! I'm currently working on some "ghost" choreography for a potential solo and this is very inspirational to see a real pro do something not completely unlike what I had in mind!! (only i'm a crap dancer)

  • You shouldn't call yourself a crap dancer--although, I'm a crap dancer too so no worries! : )

  • so ummmm...what is going on?is the girl dancing or just ....ummm ?

  • HOLY COW! That was AMAZING!!!!! I so wanna do something like that for Halloween

  • nice idea but boring moves, i dont see any bellydancing in there !!!

  • As you can see from the title and description this is not a "bellydance" so there wouldn't be any bellydanging..it is more performance art story of a japanese ghost

  • I thought that it was a performance from a tribal bellydance festival though, so there should have been at least some tribal bellydance in there somewhere (it was mostly fusion). There was a little of the influence in the second half perhaps.

  • The focas was on her arms not the hips

  • This is gorgeous! Love it! And totally love the DVD!

    Blessings from Belgium!

  • This is well thought out performance art.

  • Beautiful & different - and those fans are utterly gorgeous!

  • Wish it had a little more movement, but beautifully spooky. Her outfit is amazing as well.

  • Really cool. The fans are fantastigasmic.

  • Wicked!!

  • Nice! posted VV2 EXPO 09 2K World Class

  • niiiiiiiiiiiicee!!

here in Monterrey Mexico one friend do a similar performance, just without the belly dance

  • Nice concept!

The last part with the fans is great.

For the middle part thought -the one with the very slow drum- personally I found the movements to be too fast and too many.

  • That is one sexy ghost :)

  • I saw her do this at Tribal Cafe and it was so beautiful and hypnotic.

  • Beautiful, a work of art, I loved it!

  • Anaar, were you a Yoshitoshi ghost print in a past life? (Because that performance raqed!!!)

  • Hiya! Did you go to the exhibit in the city? Even if you did, they are going to change it in Aug. Also of interest: Strange & Supernatural at the Asian Art Museum, site specific performances based on Yoshitoshi's prints. Aug.2, 5-9 pm. I'm planning on going and checking it out.

  • that was the eerie part, when the arms and part of the face emerged it was almost a shock. Very well done.

  • I loved the fact that you (well, I) could not see her facial features--eyes, nose; it totally added to the ghost effect.

    I love this piece.

  • very cool,,, we liked it!! Kajira and Chuck

    :)

  • Thanks to Aradia for the camera work.
