It's a beautifuly done video. I have known a few girls in the past that I have sent this song to. Ironically I WAS working at night (w/ USAToday for 10 years) and I met a couple of gals on my route.
i was only 14 when this came out but i always felt it was a song about a marriage on the rocks... now that i've been married 17 plus years, i'm feeling the pain, joy, loneliness...
isnt that funny!!!!!!!!!!! NEVER seeing a this video!!! youtube is good, when infringement rights, are NOT an issue!!!! i ve seen soooooo many vids for bands, that I never ever kneew existed!!!!!! 43 yrs and NEVER knowing there was a video for ALOT of my fav rock songs!!! of ALL TIIIIIIME!!!!
I grew up listening to Rick Springfield. Me and a buddy of mine use to sing his songs all the time in the car, so as I'm listening to these songs, it's taking me back....Love theses songs forever man!!
always had the silly dream of him singing this song to me...Rick is a true artist and so many people don't realise that.........please read his book Late, Late At Night...true Rick fans will enjoy it
I should've been in college at this time. But chose to work instead. I loved this song though. It got some serious airplay June & July of 1985. My sister loved a remix I did of it to a scene in Against All Odds.
When I was in college I played this song over and over for a hour straight -- I had no cd player....I had a cassette player.....an hour straight of pressing play then rewind then fast forward when I rewound too far and pressing play again.
Looking back, an hour wasn't nearly long enough
(obvious statement alert) This is my favorite song of all time by my favorite artist of all time
I've seen Rick in concert three times. I think the first time was in 1983 when I was 18 years old. He really puts on a great show. The only opening act I remember is Corey Hart.
Saw him few years back at Star Theatre in Merrilville, Indiana. Loved the show and have always loved Rick, and this song has always really hit me. Just speaks to me. Hope you all enjoy!!!! Pam
wow.. haven't heard this hit in years....I remember this was out when I was about 10....for some reason it popped in my head today, so I looked it up!! Glad I did!
First, that fountain is freaky-deaky! Second, this is why Dr. Noah Drake is always called to the ER to help the women of the world with their bad case of heartbreak. Keep up the good work, Dr. Drake!
This was one of the first songs that I remember hearing backwards reverb on (though it was already an old trick by this time). Really fine song.
