In masonry there are 3 degrees, nothing is superior to the 3rd, the others are called side orders and explore different facets but that's about it. People just get confused because the Scottish rite uses more numbers, but compared to some side orders its a relative newcomer so hardly likely to be in any kind of control.

In fact, the name "Lucifer" appears in NO extant Hebrew that is the basis for the Old Testament- and is only included in the KJV because that translation is based upon the Latin Vulgate (4th Century AD). The Hebrew translates as "morning star"- and do you know who else in the Bible is identified as the "morning star"?

It would appear that your knowledge of the Bible is as poor as your knowledge of Freemasonry.

Freemasons are not an elite group. There are millions of us that are not famous and not wealthy. You could have neighbors or friends - regular average guys that are freemasons. I am not famous or rich, but VERY PROUD to be a Master Mason. To join you do need to know at least 2 masons for at least 6 months, but no direct descendent from the beginng of Freemasonry.

Maybe the "Order of Freemasons" might be, never heard of them (there are "fake" organizations who use the terms Freemason, ect, but are not Masonic organizations). But the fraternity known as Freemasonry is an organization open to all men of good character and who hold a belief in Deity (as each man see Him). It is true many Masons have become well known, wealthy, or influential. There are many more who have lived good modest lives.

I am a office holder now and learning much of what most masons dont bother to learn unless moving up the chairs. Every degree you must learn every word of the rituals and the secrets to pass them on when new masons are made. Most Freemasons are like a little library.
