A scientific theory is supported by all the evidence, and contradicted by none of it.

I realize that abiogenesis is still in it's infancy, but it's already explained a great deal about the origin of life on Earth. Like, for instance, that the building blocks of life can be formed from nonliving materials; Materials that were abundant in the early Earth.

Also, the Big Bang was the origin of the universe in it's current form. Before that, we don't know much about what it was like.
