Back then the Jabba's weren't that famous. Like you said, this was from two years back and it predates them being on America's Got Talent and America's Best Dance Crew. Meanwhile at the time, the SOP Boys were using this routine on their gigs and making money for it (as you can see, they copied every bit of the choreo). They uploaded the vids on YouTube without giving credit.
As far as your Britney example; emulation is different from imitation and the SOP boys fell on the latter.

Jabbawockeez ripped their style and the whole idea of wearing the white masks from Expression crew. Look up expressions marionette performance way back from 2002. I would have some respect for the jabbawockeez but that's a complete bite right there.
I don't think there is any proof he introduced the mask idea to expression crew. Maybe to Jabawockeez. My point is he took the idea after they already made it famous and American people were too oblivious to notice. Because noone knows about crews and stuff especially on a national level. And Jabawockeez might be the best dance crew on TV but definately not in America. Just my opinion.
Medea Sirkas is a dance group from the late 70's (early 80's) who used masks as part of their performances. They came from the SF Bay Area which is the same place most of the Jabbawockeez are from and is an influence to many current dance groups including the Jabbawockeez.
As for the Expressions crew, there is no hate between the Jabbas and them. You should really know how nice they are. The Jabba's never bit anyone and you are misinformed when you say "that's a complete bite right there"

Alot about being a choreographer is coming up with your own sets with originality and thats why so many people are pissed off about biters in general.

if you really wanna see where the real talent is, watch dance competitions here in the Philippines(if you're in the area). We might not have the sickest bboy ala-koreans do but the groups here have style and has a real feel of the music..All-Star is one of them, but if you go to a college competition or any bboy competition, u'll see the sickest group and the sickest move/routines..

Jabbawockeez ripped their style and the whole idea of wearing the white masks from Expression crew. Look up expressions marionette performance way back from 2002. I would have some respect for the jabbawockeez but that's a complete bite right there.

My point is he took the idea after they already made it famous and American people were too oblivious to notice. Because noone knows about crews and stuff especially on a national level. And Jabawockeez might be the best dance crew on TV but definately not in America. Just my opinion.

Medea Sirkas is a dance group from the late 70's (early 80's) who used masks as part of their performances. They came from the SF Bay Area which is the same place most of the Jabbawockeez are from and is an influence to many current dance groups including the Jabbawockeez.
As for the Expressions crew, there is no hate between the Jabbas and them. You should really know how nice they are. The Jabba's never bit anyone and you are misinformed when you say "that's a complete bite right there"

if you really wanna see where the real talent is, watch dance competitions here in the Philippines(if you're in the area). We might not have the sickest bboy ala-koreans do but the groups here have style and has a real feel of the music..All-Star is one of them, but if you go to a college competition or any bboy competition, u'll see the sickest group and the sickest move/routines..
