This is very nice with attention to detail. I am still waiting for someone out there to construct a larger replica model used on the series as opposed to these downsized versions. The original Jupiter 2model used on the series was 4 feet in diameter. I have seen a few photos & YouTube videos of the original J2.
Would be an expensive kit no doubt. I think Jim Key at Custom Replicas makes a 4 footer, not sure on that, Google it if your interested, he does great work.
Thanks for the tip. Through Custom Replicas I found a DVD containing photos & a construction guide how the 48 inch model was made. No one seems to have a model that size.
Man you really work magic with my favorite childhood spaceship! Thanks for sharing big guy! One day I will be able to afford on as good looking and as well detailed as this one my friend. Peace.
Thanks again Othur! Didn't we all want to be Will Robinson on the J2, as kids? Gosh, I sure did! Oddly enough, I got an order for one of these babies just this morning, real happy about that! In these times, I don't get as many orders as I used to, thank God some folks still find hand-made work is worth the price!!
Now if U could make it fly we would be in business

Jeez, where would you put it?? Maybe in a Game room or something like that, or in a Lobby in a case.
For now it seems the 18 inch Moebius is the way to go. I haven't been impressed with some 24 inch versions.
