Maniac's comment here is true. The video instructs people to change the sound okay, but by changing it the wrong way entirely. Control Panel > Sounds connects you with WINDOWS > Media in which you set new SOUND SCHEMES, which are indexed in the Registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents\Sc­hemes\Names. (You don't need to know the registry part.) Only trouble is, SAVING your modified Sound Scheme is infuriatingly perplexing because of an ambiguous popup courtesy of Microsoft. Have fun!

If you go to configuration panel> Sounds and Audio Device Properties> sounds and you can easy switch sounds and themes for Windows sounds
