  • that turbo gage in the srt4s makes it look like the dash has a monicle, like the monopoly man

  • msd coilpack

  • def the plugs man

  • if ur fuel injectors arnt upgraded that could be a problem. air to fuel somethings wrong

  • I agree with the "gapping the spark plugs" comment. My STi did the same think only in the opposite rps after i built it. It would get to about 3k then start shuttering and popping then cut out. I gapped my plugs at .018 and it ran golden!!!

  • tuned?

  • mine was doing that under boost like your that and i had burnt plugs. Put some good spark plugs like NGK iridiums and gap them properly. dont put champion shit in there go to modern performance and get colder NGK iridium plugs, im pretty sure it will fix the problem. I thought mine was a boost leak.

  • i sorta had the same problem although it was random and not at a certain rpm, changed my plugs and wires back to mopar / champion and never had the problem since

  • yo dude i had the same issue with my srt-4 it might be the cam senscor

  • mustang1985gt, you left out the part when you woke up...

  • msd pack suck, put stocker back on

  • They don't come pregapped so you might want to try finding out the gapping specs with respect to your mods, and boost. See I'm running Stage 3 w/toys, and My gap is a .032". I'm not sure what stock is, and not sure what gap you should have since I don't know what you've done to the car. Anyways, all the best!

  • See I would use the MSD ignition coil pack and one day would start getting the same problem. I used to think the msd was crapping out just like everyone else would say. Turns out ever since I gapped my plugs to the right gap, the misfiring stopped, and my ignition coil which is my second one due to lack of knowledge before, is now fine, since I notice no more misfiring. You should try the 2 stage colder plugs from NGK Iridium made for the srt.

  • jus a simple problem (misfiring) prolly a spark plug or possibly a coil..simple fix..btw srt haters will get nowhere in life driving their daddys camaros and mustangs!! srt ftw

  • i had the same problem and found out that MAP sensor was bad

  • you should really put low resitant wires and a better coil pack on.

  • yea i have a question with the two guy who always comment badley about the srt 4..why the hell do you go around looking for videos on srt 4s and talk about how bad they are..thats like me finding videos on mustangs and talking about how bad they are..you really have no life..dont you usually go to youtube to find videos you like..ah like average people..besides all cars have mechanical problems...jackasses

  • srt-4 suck i ran a stage-2 on the interstate and it was funny,i walked him like he was stopped

  • yea its called 4 more cylinders!!!

  • its called spark blow out..get new wires and plugs..everyone has that problem..sooner or later.

  • ill tell you what the problem is, you own an srt-4. just drive the car off a cliff, and the problem will be fixed. take one for the team. youll be doing the entire world a favor.

  • and what do you drive that is so cool a buick skylark

  • well its a piece of shit wat u expect

  • dude why do you talk shit about your car, we all know you drive a piece of shit

  • i have the same problem

  • i see you found your problem but i was gonna suggest you had a vaccum leak. Which can be found out with a smoke generator or you could utilize a friend that smokes.

  • check your wastegate!

  • definetly a boost leak big time!!!!and ur blades in side ur turbo maye be fucked up ya know?do you know what brand turbo it is???i have a sti with a stage 2 revo turbo boostin 20+ but yea i really wana get a srt 4 there so fuckin nice and im getin a lil tired of imports..all my friens drive are hondas and integras so yea there getin a lil gay but with ur turbo ummm check it out for leaks and blade damage.

  • Hey guys thanks for the replies, it ended up being the map sensor. It wasn't a stage 2. Never buy a used Stage upgrade unless you really know the person that is selling it will be responsible for anything that may go wrong with it.

  • this may sound stupid but i work on subaru's so shoot me. did you switch from a MAF to a MAP sensor?? just cause i had so many problems with my BOV that i just decided to recirculate. but a MAP sensor would solve all that.

  • @nito15 VERY TURE!!! lol

  • its the gas pump...samething was wrong wit mine

  • major boost leak... also maybe check turbo blades... a friend of mine had the same problem and it was the grommet from his intake that had gotten sucked up into the turbo causing stuttering around that same rpm. just take the intake tube off and take a picture then look at it.

  • it looks to me like u guys didnt install that right
