  • Fuck Coldplay !

  • @AgentEarl coldplay make music that is pleasent to listen to, even if they are not all that original. it is rude to say fuck them

  • @vrem No realy Fuck em !

  • @AgentEarl Please tell me, why do you think so?

  • @HustlerMuri Fuck em !

  • @AgentEarl The only word you know is "fuck"? Coldplay had managed better and they had more success.

  • @HustlerMuri Really fuck em !

  • Love the pic of "I'll be back" and Bach

  • saugut

  • coldplay sucks the wazoo. Kraftwerk rules the universe

  • coldplay just sucks

  • coldplay pidio permiso para esto

  • hanno rovinato un pilastro della musica elettronica! FANCULO AI COLDPLAY!

  • fuck coldplay, kraftwerk created hip hop as we know it, and every other band or group rips them off!!!!

  • what's sad is that coldplay's "talk" is 100000x more popular than the original Kraftwerk...

  • Es verdad lo hicieron con el permiso de KRAFTWERK

  • who cares if he asked for permission, it's still cheap and lazy.

  • COLD PLAY ARE HACKS!

  • @typeanoise escoldplay, juntito mi amor. me imagino cuanto sabras sobre la banda que ni le escribis bien el nombre..

  • YES! That's what I've been asking for!

  • chris martin asked kraftwerk for the permition, so read a little before upload this /=·$

  • Chris Martin wrote to Kraftwerk and got their permission to use the riff in their song.

  • truth. This was not a ripoff job. Great nod to Kraftwerk, and honestly great use of the riff.

  • we dont mind if he asked a permission or whatever... the thing is... THE FUCKING SONG IS A FUCKING COPY...

  • that doesn't detract from the general fact that Coldplay base their music on the work of others, whilst generally not acknowledging credits. In this instance (and there are many), Kraftwerk is one of the few innovative bands around, something that is missing from Martin et al.

  • Copy, yes. Plagiarism, no.

  • @ItsSitka

yes, he got permission to be an unoriginal douche and write shitty music

  • hahaha, oh coldplay, you're screwd now!!!

  • Tribute? Don't think so. No mention of Kraftwerk on the album cover, no reference at all. And the WHOLE song is based on Computer Love, not just the riff.

  • Not exactly - Kraftwerk got profits too and performed with Coldplay during the X and Y tour.

  • I agree. I was working at a record store when the coldplay song came out, and read the liner notes. There was nothing about Kraftwerk in the liner.

  • Coldplay lick balls

  • It was a fucking tribute to Kraftwerk...

No paying or something like that. Talk is a wonderful song.

  • its great that Coldplay show Kraftwerk to other audiences... Its used under permission and its an honest aproach. I dont listen to Coldplay that much but some of their songs are good, like this one. I started to listen to David Bowie after Kurt Cobain used The Man Who Sold the World on mtv unpluged. Does that mean Kurt couldn't come up with good songs by himself?

  • To make a cover is slight different of stole the piece of the song, make money with it and tell to everyone that you rock!

  • yeah, maybe you're right... stil, coldplay and kraftwerk publics dont really overlap that much so...

  • omg only those notes djeez

  • Then take in to account that they could have used 7 different notes, in any type of rythm possible.

Now, even if we are going by 5 notes that are the same, you would end up with 120 different note combinations.. how probable is it that you would write something that sounds so alike without intending it to do so? Keep in mind that you have endless possibilities in rhythmics.

  • it's a tribute to kraftwork. after using those 8 notes for reference and tribute, coldplay wrote the whole rest of their own song, brilliantly.

  • @japanesemastertrack yeah and they suck the wazoo forever.kraftwerk are geniuses that changed the world of music

  • It was meant to be a tribute to Kraftwerk. Like Psico5 said, it's 5 notes.

  • Suckers!!!!!! huaahuahahahua

  • Pathetic. They can't come up with original melodies so they have to pay to use Kraftwerks.

  • they paid for it, with permission. its an homage to them because the whole X and Y album is influenced by electronic music

  • lol coldplay payed like 10.000 dollars for this, cuase they cant think of anything good themselfes. Kraftwerk ownes!

  • Its a very simple melody indeed... 5 miserable notes... it could repete in 200 songs

  • Coldplay is a bunch of hacks

  • all of you are fucking idiots! Coldplay properly referenced the use of this melody in the sleeve of this album!

  • coldplay sucks

  • @gooondie big f-ing whoop. they still suck

  • No problem! I love them!

  • They´re a beautiful singer with a good band who rip a lot of songs. Influence is not the same thing.

  • capas que no me entendes nada pero tambien lo descubri y son unos reberendo putos por copiarse

  • Comment removed

  • i don't give a monkey's if they pay for it , they are still not their creation , fuck them , is just pop shit !!!

  • what is that coldplay song

  • Its the song "talk"

  • and kraftwerk's computer lieb

  • -.-

  • Apparently they got permission in this case. Unlike when they ripped off Joe Satriani.

  • unfortunately, they did rip off satch. and unfortunately, they were too arrrogant to even speak with him about it until it was a much bigger issue than it needed to be.

you must be one of those coldplay fans who loves them so much u can't even consider this as fact.

and unfortunately, due to the way the music industry works, joe probably won't get anything.

but at least everyone knows coldplay are thieves.

  • Do you really think CHRIS MARTIN is the type of guy who listens to JOE SATRIANI's work? Nope. If Coldplay was to rip off stuff from Stone Roses, The Smiths, Echo and the Bunnymen, etc,.. yeah, it would be very suspicious... but Joe Satriani? C'mon now... the similarity is purely coincidental.

  • Lots of people listen to lots of things -- it's presumptuous to think that just by looking at someone you know what kind of music they listen to.

  • When Coldplay took the riff from Kraftwerk, they did the proper procedure and asked for permission. I am quite positive if they knew that the melody already existed, they would ask permission from Satch or at least revise theirs to sway away from a possible lawsuit.

  • @heebijeebi101 satriani is a horrible thief, he copied from limon frances - enanitos verdes

  • Haha, wow.
