I've heard many of his tracks used commercially not realising who had composed them until, searching Dmitrij Šostakovič : Waltz 2 from Jazz Suite n. 2, another commercial advert sound, I was led to Karl Jenkins. He's definitely 'commercial' just as he was when he was in a rock band in the 70's. He's hit on a signature formula. The formulaic build-up to some of his pieces reminds me of Ravel's Bolero.

Please . . . .let yourself enjoy this. Yes, I understand some snobs may find parts "over the top," but it is pure joy and exuberance and "oh God, how much fun it must be to sing this!!!" Do yourself a favor and don't overthink this brilliance and just enjoy it for the contemporary genius it is!
