  • How you get red pads? Thanks bro

  • @FRB1420 Ordered them from MPCStuff.

  • This is fucking sick, man. It's like some sort of folky trip hop.

  • how do you make the pads light up? i got a 2500 also

    peace

  • Awesome!

  • This is on point!

  • Hey man, Just wanted to say Hip Hop isnt really my thing, but I really enjoyed this vid.

I suppose in my trance / house backgroud we would call this a remix. Very well done. Can hardly recognise the original in there.

  • @META4TMNJ...now mix that! Lol!

  • @Meta4TMNJ Plenty of people do that, on every level of production. See how hellfire's monitors are raised about 8 inches off his desk? -- his tweeters would be 8 inches above his head if he didn't turn them sideways. If anything, hellfire is smart for doing this. Good video hellfire! Keep it up!

  • @MinamotoAkori Exaclty! Dudes who've never mixed a record in their lives get on gear slutz and read from some "online pro" that "it's bad to turn your monitors sideways" and just repeat it without even knowing the technicalities behind it, or what environmental conditions actually make it bad practice! But youtube doesn't give you enough characters to even explain it! Lol! Thanks fam!

  • fire!

  • Nice beat

  • ooh yours is red... mine is only a boring grey...

  • Do you use MPK25? Like these beats... One

  • putting your monitors sideways like that will make you mix very poorly due to phase issues. they were designed to be upright

  • @Meta4TMNJ Oh yeah? Listen to my album and tell me if it's mixed poorly! hellfirebeats dot c om slash livelearn.

  • @Meta4TMNJ BTW, they are sideways so my tweeters are ear level.

  • @Meta4TMNJ I don't think you've been to a proffessional studio.

  • @Meta4TMNJ

I dont think this is correct info. I have Focal Twins and in the manual it clearly states you can position them wither way.

  • it's a bomb!

  • @jadak1988 you can pull reason into protools as a vst the same way you would load up xpand or boom

  • how cAN U USE PROTOOLS AND REASONS AT THE SAME TIME?

  • @jadak1988 reason can be used as a plugin for protools

  • If I requested a song could you make a beat out of it?

  • @MrNorbertweiner Yeah, as long as I can vibe to it!

  • you interest in giving a beat to use for my mixtape? i go hard, i could send you a few tracks to check out... just a thought, thanks!

  • pro tools or logic someone please reply

  • @twistedwest1 What do you mean?

  • @twistedwest1 Pro Tools

  • NICE STUDIO ;)

  • a quick question. would you be able to sell thisbeat?? cause if it has samples wont copyright get you??

  • LOVE THIS BEAT MAN!

  • those pads look delicious!

  • wtf man... this shit is expensive

  • lookin to get an mpc. any recommendations? do u like that 2500?

  • I didnt know you was on youtube my friend, I got you on soundcloud! and every beat is dope! keep it up!

  • cool vid nice one

  • nice track bro how much is the retail on that mpc?

  • can you tell me the difference between the feel of the pads from the 2000xl and the 2500 or is the 2500 like the 1000 pads? and does the 2500 function the same as the 1000? because i have a 2000xl and a 1000.

  • AEW FERA AONDE VC COMPROU ESSES PADS COLORIDO PARA MPC 2500 SOU DO RIO DE JANEIRO BRASIL E TAVA QUERENDO COMPRAR.

  • the fuck is that

  • that was so much better than i expected when you said the track

  • someone PLEASE help, when i use reason with my mpc i can only use one sound from reason, if i add another module to reason it will play but it will only play the same notes as the first module so i basically end up with two modules playing the same notes, i dont want that i want one leody with one module and then a different melody with another module. is this possible

  • @kroser1983 Make sure in the sequencer window of reason, click on the transport tab. I go over this in the tutorial vids on my channel. Check em out.

  • @kroser1983 FL STUDIO DUDE !

  • what are you ticking at 2:20/2:32??? i didn't heared anything

  • @LangijansTracks What do you mean? At that time frame I'm auditioning some chops.

  • what drum kit is that ? shits hot !

  • @BIGSABMUSIC No drum kit. Just some drums from my library! Thanks!

  • hey dj hellfire, great beat! hey what do u recommend for beginners like me. is Akai MPC2500 practical? What else do you need? thanks

  • Ya, and they used actual instruments and their own music to compose it.

  • @taurus1269 Your point? How many time's have the songs "Ain't No Sunshine", "Long Time Coming", "Total Eclipse of The Heart", or "If Loving You Was Wrong", to name a few, been REMADE the SAME EXACT WAY by other artists or bands? Countless. At least with sampling in Hiphop, we make it our own and change it up completely! Get off the high horse! What do you think the sounds in a modern keyboard synth are? Samples!

  • @djhellfire1 My point is this is sound engineering not music composition.Try learning an instrument and you'll understand. I lived in Detroit for 10 yrs where every loser with an mp3 player thought he was some kind of musical hip hop genius or amazing dj. I know enough engineers in the business to know who the real artists are...

  • @taurus1269 You are obviously clueless about Hiphop music. You "musicians" think just because you know in instrument that you're gods of music. Did you read my vid title? It says "beat making" not "music composition". I never said I "composed" anything. And why do you assume I don't know an instrument? You watched one video of me and you know all about me, trying to tell me the definition of what I do. "Sound Engineering"? Don't compare me to the kids with MP3 players. Get a clue!

  • @djhellfire1 Don't lump all of us musicians into the same category as dumbasses like that. Art is art is art.

  • @drcarico No doubt bro! Not doing that at all! Was just talking about the ignorant ones. Thanks fam!

  • @djhellfire1 Don't lump all of us musicians into the same category as dumbasses like that. Art is art is art.

  • i (think) of selling some of my sample tracks, like you. Dont you worry about copy write? Just curious ..

  • @pedralis Depends. When it's something someone asked me to make, I'll tell. If it's something I just post on my own, I don't name my samples. Either way, they can't sue you if you're not selling the music.

  • Brah, this is a HOT track

  • You're just pushing buttons.

  • @intheshapeofhuman Yeah, and the sample chopped and arranged itself!

  • That ish goes sooooo hard!!

  • where did you get the red pad?

  • @dotbadburn mpc stuff dot com

  • FIREEEEEEE!!!!!! good looks on the info im trying to build my own studio i need to know what to get to make everything sound legit

  • Comment removed

  • sICK

  • Ive got a problem with the pitch shift function. When I tune up the sample + 1.00 or -1.00 than the sample sounds damaged.

The file I loaded the sample from is not the problem. Can you help me out?

    MPC 2500

  • ughhhhhhhhhh dope as fock

  • i know this might be a long question but can you tell me all the equipment you use and maybe a estimate of all the money you put into it cuz i wanna be a producer and i need to study up on what i might need and how to use it. thanks.

  • @DOCTORPACINO Man lot's of shit. Probably between $10,000-15,000. Akai MPC 2000XL, Akai MPC 2500, Akai MPC 1000, Roland JV 1010, Mackie 1202VLZ Pro, KRK Rokit8's, 003 Rack, Pro Tools LE 8, Emagic Unitor8, Presonus Eureka, AKG C214, SE Reflexion Filter, Custom Built PC Tower w/ Q6600 Quad OC'ed to 3.0, Monster Pro 2500, Twin 22" LCD's, Vinyl, and other little shit. You should start off piece by piece and built your shit up over time, learning each piece as you go!

  • Cool Shit! Like it!

  • Like It!

  • Nice flip famo! ish hot as hell

  • The song was boring, until you threw that bap in there, nice. Do you. Keep up the good work. Don't be so quick to do request, becuase everybody aint creative. You create, wild the fake, waite like a snake ready to take. Peace

  • Who Request That Easy Ass Production?????

  • I can't tell from the LCD, are you using the Akai OS or JJOS??

Either way, nice work on the track. Red pads are dope as hell too!!

  • @leonmurphy78 Thanks for checking! And yeah, it's JJOS1. Akai OS sucks for sample based beats since you can't tune multiple samples at the same time. This beat has over 64 different chops of the sample. It would suck to have to tune each sample individually. If you make only non-sample based beats, Akai OS is OK for the most part. Either way, JJOS is better.

  • @djhellfire1 Thanks man! I've been fuckin around with my 2500 for a year and a half with the Akai OS, heard about JJOS and been contemplating making the switch. What's the learning curve like? I use the mpc strictly for sample based shit.

  • @leonmurphy78 There is really no learning curve on os1. It's very similar to akai os but better for people who sample a lot. Being able to adjust parameters of an entire program at once is worth it alone. Even the load/save screen is better and easier to use. Also, chop shop chops stereo samples unlike akai os. It's well worth the bread.

  • @leonmurphy78 OS2 and OSXL is where it's a little more advanced. But there are manuals for all the versions on the websites that explain the features. They also let you try them for free; just can't save your work until you pay!

  • @djhellfire1 Nice, thanks for all the info man! The stereo chop shop is HUGE. I've been choppin and then exporting slice by slice to keep stereo... it's brutal.

Dope setup BTW, and dope beatwork, much respect man, I'll stay tuned!!

    Leon

  • dope beats!! you should have a dj add some cuts to this!

  • You'r pads are sexy

  • nice

  • dope custom pads

  • I have a problem with the PITCH SHIFT function. When i change the pitch of the sample to +1.00 or -1.00 (semi tone), than the sample sounds damaged. When put it to +12.00 or -12.00 (one octave) no problem. So there's nothing wrong with the sample itself.

Can you help me out? Thanks

  • before i make a request what types of beats are you best at? trance, uptempo/hype?

  • Aye Djhellfire i wanted to know do you take rquests for sampling beats?

  • @kolptin567 Yes, the sample in this beat was used because someone requested me to use it. If it's something I can fuck with I'll do it for you. Just message me the song.

  • @djhellfire1 nice work bro

if you can do something with Carly Simon - You belong to me , I'd love to hear it

  • hello grandpa my old friend...

  • SICK DUDE KEEP DOING YA THING

  • Good job bro

  • dope beat

  • beat goes hard

  • thats hottt

  • Whats up DJHELFIRE. I just brought MPC2500 and Reason 4 software I have a ear for sound and my only issue is how do I add or load sounds on to my MPC2500. I watch your other video but I'm NOT USING a keyboard I just want everything from my mpc2500 key pads. thanks for your assistance. hope to hear from you soon.. enjoy ur labor Day

  • @EARHUSTLIN1 There are actually a few ways. You can connect the mpc to your computer via USB and add sounds to it. If you have a memory card reader for your computer, you can plug a cf card into the computer and load sounds to that. Another way is if you have the DVD drive option, you can burn sounds to cd or DVD as a data disc and load it into the mpc. The last way is the original way of recording directly to the mpc through the record input. Sounds have to be 16-bit 44khz wave files.

  • wow....fire asssss beat...commin from an mpc 2500 owner, im impressed!

  • damn this is raw. im workn on gettn my 2500, cant wait. keep up tha good work

  • Hot beat yo!!!! Off the chain!!!! Question though...did you filter their drums or masked them with your own?

  • Yo what up man. I'm a fan of Simon & Garfunkel and that was a sick sample!!! From the start to even the breakdown section. I notice you have red pads, I'm looking for pads as well. where did you get yours from. Keep the good work up man.

  • fireass beat!

  • Sampled that song well man, will be looking out to hear more from you on your channel.

  • ur 2500 wud look beyond sick if u installed a red backlite lcd to go wid dem red pads.

  • @ceetheproducer Yeah, a red screen would be dope. But I think it would strain your eyes after long periods of use. Thanks man!

  • @djhellfire1

the 2500se has 1 of them blue screens they have 1 at the studio i use its kewl u can set the contrast on the 2500 neway, i think the red screen wudnt be any more strain on the eye they the green or blue screens infact the reds darker.

im applyin for a grant 2mrw i was jus accepted on a music production course, with the money ima cop either a 1000 or 2500 n pimp it out myself i'll probs rock a red or black screen n make it dopper then the 2500se (which i dont like the look of)

  • Dope beat man.

  • wasn't liking the track with the words, but the loop you had was nice

  • bro your bass is super fucking tight. i only use the mpc (no midi keyboards or anything for bass), think you could make a video with a few tips and tricks? keep banging these hot beats!

  • So what program would you say you like more to make beats on? Reasons or protools? and why? nice beat btw

  • That 2500 looks sexy with the red pads WTF

  • where can i download ur beat? its dope

  • Man this is nice, that slow down worked well with the vocal more that I could ear it at first. Really good track.

  • @eleclifesndtrk Thanks my dude!

  • Hellfire, youre a fuckin asshole!!! LMAO....You ghat damn got the 2500 with the red pads, you mr. Assy!!! I got a Motif ES now, you still on the Forums? I dont even fuck with MPC-Forums no more....Gearslutz it is....but what up though fam?

  • @PuCCiPuCCe Yeah, I be on the forums, not as much though.

  • @djhellfire1 I switched it up entirely, Im on the 3000 now...coupled with the Motif, dirty

  • hey i got a question: does the drums and bass kit come wit the mpc itself or you gotta make your own?

  • @414MILboy The MPC 2500, and I believe the 1000 and 5000 as well, does come with a basic sound kit. However, in this beat I used sounds that I collected myself. I haven't used the Akai sounds that much at all. They are OK to start with!

  • @djhellfire1 can you tell me how to collect those sounds?

  • @414MILboy Sample them. Buy them. Download them. Lots of ways to get sounds.

  • yo Dope chop man.. im about to delve in with software side of things.. Im basically just tryna dump beats from my 2500 to my pc.. what do you recommend i go with as far as software? Reason i been hearing is the way to go, but homie was telling me fruity loops is simple n straight forward.. i dunno, dont know sh!t for software but tryna learn it.. i been just fuckin with the mpc and keys for the last 2 years..

  • I have another little question:

Did you used the USB Connection to transfer the tracks on the MPC to Pro Tools or an extra interface for that? (sorry for my bad english)

    Thanks in advance!

  • @Radium1337 Yeah, I do that all the time. Well, you transfer them directly from pro tools. In pro tools you have to highlight the audio files you want and export them as 16-bit 44khz wav files. Then then transfer them to the mpc from the folder you exported them to. It works really well for making drum kits.

  • hahaha silence, i remember that sample, that is one cold chop brother

  • Its ill how people all use MPC's but have different workflows...I wish I could chop beats on my MPC, I chop my samples up in Recycle...but Hellfire is a ill producer...

  • @PuCCiPuCCe Thanks my dude! I've actually been doing some chopping in Pro Tools lately and exporting the samples right to the MPC. Or I'll just cut out pieces of a song I wanna use and export them to the MPC and chop em like that, instead of sampling/loading the whole song into the MPC.

  • Show em how to do it bruh!

  • hey good work and good beat how long do you work with the sampler?

  • @Radium1337 Thanks! I started on a 2000 in 99. Bought a 2000xl in 01 and been used that up until 08 when I got the 2500.

  • nice work
