Het spel is goed en de videoopname ook. Maar de geluidskwaliteit uit de luidsprekers is op zijn zachts gezegd matig. Ik heb het orgel dus in de zaal gehoord. Het orgel zelf zal een veel beter geluid produceren dan de luidsprekers doen. Het orgel klinkt in mijn oren als een goedkoop electronisch orgel. De luidsprekers zouden m.i. vervangen moeten worden door modellen uit de HiFibranch zoals b.v. Piega of Boston. Dan zul je versteld staan van het resultaat,

Organ 'looks' like a pipe console and I see some pipes in display but if it is a pipe organ -is sounds artificial, like a computer, digital or electronic organ.

I'm sorry to say, but you are hallucinating. Technically, there is no way you or anyone else for that matter, could hear the difference between a real pipe organ and a modern digital super sampled organ by listening audio from highly compressed YouTube videos. Of course one can always argue that there is too little side noises when playing, but some pipe organs are quite good in that regard too, when recorded appropriately. This instrument sounds very good and Gert plays like masters.

Organ sounds very good whether digital or pipe, doesn't matter. What is fascinating is the fact this young man can play at this level so young and is the master over that instrument. I intend to follow this young man a lot more now that I know he exists.

Gert, vanuit amerika van harte gefeliciteerd. prachtig gespeeld zeg. Ongelofelijk. Ik woon al 65 jaar in Amerika en voor die tijd ging ik regelamtig naar de Wilhelminakerk in Rotterdam (nu afgebroken) om naar Feike Asme te luisteren. Jou spel bracht vele herinneringen terug. Ik zou ook graag willen weten of je ooit de Marche Funebre van Guilmant heb gespeeld. Een prachtig nummer.. Veel succes voor de toekomst.

@Fransdebrei Hello Frans, Ik heb uw reactie gelezen en ik ben er mee eens, Gert jij heb een prachtige toekomst als een organist. Ik woon nu in Canada voor de laaste 38 jaar. Ik heb orgel lessens gehad voor twee jaar in de nu ook afgebroken Koniningen Kerk aan de Boezem Laan en ik weet nog steeds mijn orgel leeraar Mijnheer de Boer en ik speel nog steeds. Gelukkig Nieuw Jaar Gert en Frans.

I notice Gert doesn't often change his registrations. Some of the organs he's played require an assistant to handle the stops because they are pull stops that are spread over a lot of real estate. But even on organs using flipper or push button stops, he tends to play most of the compositions with the same registration.
