Nice work...smooth feel there. You have a natural technique going for you. You kept it in the pocket with the fills which is not easy to do. Bravo! The only thing I would experiment with would be a little more dynamics rather than everything played at the same level of intensity / volume. If you want to see something totally different, you might get a kick out of my "old school" jazz solo clips on here. Overall, good job fellow drummer!
Thanks a lot for checking it out and evaluating. Your comments are of great value to me, all of you people... You sure are right about the lack of different dynamics, it can be played whole lots of different moods, fills, variations and stuff but i tried to play this in a more studio-version like approach, may be that's why. I'm not sure how i can tell about it, but i tried to keep the pocket and keep it grooving, but at the same time not changing too much every now and then.
I assume one would require a decent recording device to publish his works first, rather than stressing the viewer with awful sound quality, but that's just an opinion.
You're absolutely right. I totally agree with you and i am well aware of that i'm reducing the numbers of my videos' viewers greatly just by uploading works with low audio quality. But not everyone is equally lucky to have that decent equipment. That was the best i could do and i had no other choice. May be next year... Thanks for your comment.
Thanks for listening and putting down a comment first of all. My kit is actually larger but i tried to make it minimal in here. I don't know why but small kits feel much more comfy lately to me.Second, i never felt like fighting with my kick, why did you say that? And following the bass line with bass drum makes it too straight and dull on this particular track. I tried it. I preferred to follow the bass line with my kick "and" snare combined, you might want to check it out again.
And about the fill...After listening to myself again, well, yeah you're right! :D But my idea while playing this was to keep it as simple as i can and play it as if i'm playing to an album record or such. So i was reluctant to shift from phrase to phrase all the time, trying different things. And it didn't feel like i was doing the same fill all the time when i played it. Very well spotted buddy, thanks!I'll keep it in mind...
One more thing! I was like "Who da fock is Tone Loc?!" when i first read your comment and checked a few songs in YouTube. Well, what can i say? Thanks for the compliment(!) >8(
Hi, nicely played! in the pocket, a couple of almost miss-haps... hardly noticeable.... you could try and be a little more subtle when hitting those accents? for some variation. The only thing that i can really say is bad is the sound quality, when are you getting all your new recording gear?
Not before the end of next summer i'm afraid, which means after a year... I can't really afford them as that kinda equipment is almost 3 times more expensive here in Turkey than it is in Europe or USA. It sucks...

That's just because your country and ultimately your resources suck. Don't worry, I live in the same place (harbiden)
Oh, and sorry about you getting beaten up by some extremists. (Yeah I know everything)
Keep up the good work.

Yeah our country totally sucks. You don't really need to be sorry for anyone else's behalf though. Still, thanks a lot for the support!

overall good work my friend :)
nice kit too.
it would groove a lot harder if you lined your kick up with the bass guitar instead of (what feels like) fighting it the whole time.
also, the same tom fill the whole tune was really wearing me down (the single-stroke-4 into the 8ths). only tone loc can get away with that... :-D
keep the beat alive!!!
