Who gives a shit what u pay in. Money is money. Like they're gonna refuse ur fives? I'm sure u were hoping they would so there'd be another reason to protest or make another "statement" This is hardly original. It did success in just wasting ur precious time u have that could have been spent doing something more productive or worthwhile like being with ur family and friends. Such a pity
The more I watch your heroic videos, and the heroic activists featured, the more I wonder, is New Hampshire a beacon of liberty, or a petri dish revealing liberty can not thrive, even with the best of efforts, in this toxic federation.
@TheCrystalRiver have to be cautious about a milita as they (the regieme) have the power. One F16 fighter can easily clear out a batallion before lunch. only militia success in recent years was in georgia to stand off a property foreclosure on a farm. roughly 75 men trenched in held off the sheriff who didn't want to be involved in a standoff with obvious unjustness. If the sheriff would have been the average amoral governement employee the outcome would have been different
Really? And this is to prove what? That none of you have gainful employment, and have the time to all go to City Hall at 3 in the afternoon to make a video of yourself reading a "speech." Wow.
You sir, are what most people would call, a douche bag.
ya I mean they're trying to accomplish sumthing.. I spose but I'm sure, as that speech was goin on the woman counting the money is thinking, my sister was just diagnosed with cancer and your pot smokin buddy is complaining about double vision?!?
@mainehockey1 you are probably a leach on society not gainfully employeed yourself, you most likely depend on someone else to provide for you. this government has been out of control for quite some time. we live in a police state and anarchy at the same time, people live in fear in thier house and just waiting to be victimized. We deserve better than what has been thrust upon us and some people have to have the guts just as 200 years ago to state that enough is enough
@chris532008 Wrong. Ha, if you only know. Listen tough guy. Change comes from resolve and doing what is right. Not from being an enormous pain in the ass. Learn the difference between civil disobedience and just plain annoying.
@mainehockey1 i may not believe in everything their group is doing like for instance they are i believe interested in legalizing drug use to some capacity, there are a lot of things which neeed resolving before any move in that direction, i do believe that that would be better than we have at the current situation, the 50 plus year drug war has been futile, you mention doing what is right, this government does everything but what is right, it is the peoples job to correct the error
@greatestsongsofLIFE dollar bill of today is a private bank note from the federal reserve corporation and is not money under the constitutional law of the united staes of america
@greatestsongsofLIFE but is it really legal tender, it is not precious as it is copper plated zinc, constituiton requires the money of account to be gold or silver, if you can deviate from that why not make it lead, lead would have more value though would be hazaderous to handle over long time, of course it would most affect the banksters, probably a benefit to the rest of us, some are paying bills with payable notes, of course the notes are not redeamable at the present
Wait a minute didn't he already pay property taxes this year and now he's payin again. That's GD expensive. I'll have to reconsider my move to Keene. Maybe I'll move nearby where the they don't rape and pillage you. I'm really not into anal.
You are encouraged to demonstrate a better way to change property tax. And if you do it in New Hampshire, Dave Ridley would likely be happy to video it. Actions speak louder than words.
you can video anyone you want. ps hate cops there useless.way to go bud you kick ass. that guy at the end thinks he's part of the elite, lol what a douch. nice job guys hope to see more
'Nice job guys - you kick ass - hope to see more - toodles'. Man - why don't you come out here, roll your pants down and just bend over and take it dry for the team why don't you? LOL.
What a fucktard. What does he think he can accomplish by pissing off a receptionist? Everyone else in the office is clearly snickering at him. How is it that he's the only one who doesn't see what a child he is?
Always a play on words - and it always works when it fits HIS agenda. You can play dum dum all you want - but you know as well as I do, that Ian Bernard was not and is not - homeless. Any person kicked out of a house don't go straight from the porch down to the polls armed with a video camera - they usually have 'other' business to take care of. Ridiculous.
Just last week - this guy "swore" he was homeless. Of course - all homeless people have the means to pay nearly $3000 in property taxes. I guess all homeless people have property too. This guy is such a filthy little liar - he absolutely disgusts me with his bullshit rhetoric and hypocrisy. Maybe he can read that stupid little speech to the garbageman who picks up the trash next.
my brother paid his $9,500.00 property tax w/$5's, $10's and $20's, only because the bank refused to first give him $9,500 in pennies, and then refused him $9,500 in One Dollar Bills aka debtor's notes.. it took 2 employees at the Manchester tax Office a 1/2 hour to count it all.. long Live The Republic..
NH has high property taxes, but the lowest overall taxes as a percentage of income of any state in the lower 48. The nice thing about property taxes is that they hurt to pay...that way, people try to keep their gov't small (rather than sales taxes or income taxes that don't hurt to pay because you pay them little by little).
Also, Ian lives in Keene which has the highest taxes of any place in New Hampshire.
But he paid in fives. I'm sure liberty shall come skipping along shortly.
Not really, that is two separate topics IMO. For example as stated previously NH has no income or sales tax. My state has both as well as property taxes. I am sure that offsets most of the deference between the property taxes.
Actually - no it doesn't - not even close - unless saving two bucks at the local Walmart compared to the one across the river in Vermont means big savings.
Obviously it must make a difference since businesses on the borders of NH cater to people coming in from other states to avoid sales tax. The tax on a $1000 mattress or couch for example is about $60 bucks in MA. Not sure about VT...but we don't have income tax either and that's a hell of a bigger savings than $2 at Walmart.
@hibraisil Freestaters....buying new mattresses. LOL! Or a couch? Ian Bernard was trying to build an atomic bomb to drop on Keene when code enforcement asked him to remove his skeevie infested one from his front lawn.
the comment you made was about sales tax making a big difference. I was telling you that it does. Of course if you had the ability to do some math you would have figured that out yourself.
I can't do math - I was homeschooled. Sorry. I am also happy for you that you have the financial means to purchase large dollar items all the time to make that no sales tax work for you.
the small dollar items add up..oh wait, there's that pesky math again. And the income tax adds up a lot faster. I'll make it very simple for you. Fewer taxes means you get to keep more of your own money.
SSilentnation, you have no idea if it does or doesn't for me. First you don't know in what state I live. Second you have no idea to what a comparable home in my state DOES pay for property tax, what I pay in income tax and what I pay in sales tax. Are you just pulling numbers out of the air? because I am pretty sure you are lacking some numbers in your figures there.

the fewer taxes, the better. This property tax thing is just a way to swindle more money out of it's citizens.
It's unfair. so even, if the property is paid off. The state will have to still be paid. Like a bunch of mobsters.

so how is paying in $5 bills going to change property taxation?

I don't live in New Hampshire so there's very little I could do.
It's a crazy idea, but how about voting in a politician who has that issue on their agenda?
If you're feeling all Gandhi-like you could make a big deal about going to jail for not paying.
But paying in $5 bills is just stupid. Paying Ridley to make a video of it is evern more stupid.

We pay property taxes twice a year here in Sonoma Co. , CA, too. Of course we have Prop. 13 which limits how much the state can raise prop. taxes.
So, California raises all the other taxes, income, sales, license fees, etc..People here are limiting their incomes and expenses to avoid taxes.
