I love Ruby Bridges!! She has always been my inspiration to make a difference whenever I can! When I was 6 years I wrote her a letter and she wrote me back! Best day ever! May her story never be forgotten!
I watched the movie first and then your documentary. You did an amazing job; you do Ruby proud! I hope you got an A+ because you certainly deserved it. BTW, I'm adding you to my subscribe list. You have talent and substance; a rare commodity in these times.
Thanks for this great video! Pauly Perrette from NCIS mentioned Ruby Bridges in her tweet. I searched for more info on Ruby on youtube and ran into this very informative video. I too hope you got an A+++ for this fine piece on black history
Ruby was able to go through this because of her/ parents faith in Jesus and her understanding of the need to forgive those who were prosecuting her. Ruby was placed here on earth by God at that present time to fulfill a purpose, and she trusted God, with her parents love craddling her, she was able to stand tall and strong. She was a tool in God's hands.....Do you have who Ruby had and trusted, Jesus loves you, allow Him to live in you and He can use you to do great things as well. Shalom.
I have just finished watching the movie with my daughter {she's 6} for her Black History project, wich is due tomorrow, i taught her the story of Ruby Bridges then asked her who is Ruby"? To my suprise my daughter's response was amazing and i recorded it will be posting soon, but as my baby explained to me she was almost in tears.
@BlazinDread821 I explained to her that this was a time that was different...she said to me "mommy i have white friends at my school and i'm happy Ruby went to that school so i can have my friends" made heart dropped...I can honestly say that Ruby's strength at the age of 6 was tremendous...Thank you for posting the movie it helped a lot!
04:34 to 04:50 i find it interesting that Rudy's Mother who enabled and had d 2nd greatest role in all this...who convinced the dad to let Ruby go to school and was d major player asides from Rudy's teacher to ensure Rudy's success.....her face wasnt in any of those front-novel-pics..yet the Father's was...
I really enjoyed the movie. Thank you for posting this movie. This has taught me more about black history then what I already knew. I'm happy you posted this video. Outstanding Job!!
Very well put together! Never heard the song before and I thought it was a nice addition to the pictures and the commentary. Thanks for this and the upload of the well done movie.
That`s a great work. I showed your movie my students in school. I`m a teacher for Religion in Germany and we were talking about Martin Luther King and now we are talking about Ruby Bridges!
We watched the lovely movie and after that your documentary! Even I had to translate it my studenst want to tell you: GREAT JOB!!!!!!
Have a good time and many greetings from Germany!!!!!!
Rosa Parks was already sitting in the black section. She and 3 other blacks were forced to move out of their seats so that one white man could sit. Whites werent allowed to sit next to blacks. The 3 other blacks moved out of their seats. Mrs. Parks refused to move.
Thank you this was beautiful. How can anyone...especially a woman... spit and shout at a 6 year old? Some of those people are alive today. I wonder if any of them have sought Ruby out to apologize to her?
@NoSaltyPeanuts I wonder that myself, even those that went to school with her. I am sure some of these bastards are alive it hasn't been that long ago. But on a much happier note, I loved how she had her faith in God.
this was fantatsic i hope u got an A because you really deserved it...i can tell what was required from you for this project it was clear and touching I LOVED IT!
rosa wasnt sitting in a white only seat in the bus a white man ask her for her seat and she said no so she got arrested
