it is kinda boring....too just mine and make ore would take a hour or 2. and to make a house....it probably take a day or so. the time needed to spend on this game is crazy. if you really have the time too play, then this game would be good, also if you don't mind doing some thing over and over for a few hours....it can pay off in the end....but...its the biggest time eating game ever.

@mrmaxell222 Building a 1t house takes ~3 hours if you have all the planks prepared. It is time consuming, but lets be honest with ourselves: What MMO doesn't eat huge amounts of time to accomplish anything?

"Boring" and "Fun", though, are subjective. I love the game, but at the same time can absolutely see why people get bored of it. It's very niche.

yes, its really slowpaced and have a high learning curve.

Its made in Java by one man so imo its a good game. The only game i know of that you can dig the earth, chop down and replant forests and so pn, You want to live in a big cave? pick up your pick axe and start mining at a mountain wall, soon you get an opening and cant start tunneling. and much more, give it a try, its free to play and try it out

Actually the game is terrible in most regards due to the main developer and the general community being to a point of fanaticism. You're either a fanboy or you should GTFO. So difficult to make a suggestion without getting it completely ripped apart and shot down. However I notice recently that that has changed at least a little.

try pressing ENTER when the incomplete window shows. If nothing happens, press your TAB key once and then hit ENTER. This will "click" the OK button and install Wurm in its default directory.

Its fun for people who are not all about graphics. Graphics=horrible, animation=mostly non existent, however you CAN do pretty much anything. It's a real sandbox. Want a hole? Dig one. Want to cut down that tree? do so. Pretty much anything you can imagine you can do in wurm

Please help!! I installed the game, then set the graphics too high but i couldn't change them back to default because i didn't remember what they were. The trouble is is that i deleted my install directory and now when i try to play it it says "install directory is missing" and i can't reinstall it! Please help me!

Heh, funny. I never liked Wurm online. I'll admit, it beats Runescape (which I hate) by far. But the fact that's it's got a very simple concept (No, I don't mean easy to make or easy to understand) puts me off it. I like games with average graphics and an original gaming concept. There are quite a few games (Free or Pay per month) out there that are like this and thus, I don't ever play it.

Wurm is a great game if you are looking to be able to do things like build, terraform, make things, and if you like a lot of interaction with the environment, but if you're looking for an action intensive game with extreme graphics, you might want to look elsewhere.

nice, when you appear in New Town (Starting point) look for the guide person, he give you a starting set of tools and give you some missions to get started. Dont give up, wurm is veryhard in the beginning. Try to find a town to join, its much easier to start if you got friends helping you out.

And you can play for free as long as you like. Only restriction is that you skills has a cap at 20.

If you pay premium (5 euro/1 months)you have no skill cap whatsoever. Try it.

Paying monthly will allow you to exceed this limit. 5 Euros a month isn't much to ask for in a world where most MMOs cost a bit of money. How about actually trying it? Just like every other game there are multiple levels of graphical detail. Wurm can range from absolutely awful to amazingly beautiful, depending on whether or not your computer can handle the graphics. Have a go and you'll change your mind.

hah! The guys at Redfield, Woot, SticheyX, Schmendict, RobbyO, Rutilant, BlackCat and I all did this one time. Robby attacked Rutilant's wolf, and there was a half hour chase during which I was blaring the benny hill theme over Ventrilo. It ended up with RobbyO drying to fight a deer wielding a plank, and I came to rescue him dual-wielding dirt piles...

He died because I didn't use my longswords on the deer! >_<
