  • This is one fantastic song!!! and this is a great rendition.

    Thank you for sharing.

  • Wow, 78 rpm??

I like it this sound. 5*****

    Thanks Bob.

  • So many of the bands that recorded for the Broadcast label are really excellent - I first became aware of this when listening to some Bidgood sides a while ago. This one is superb - and I had never known of Hal Swain's band! I agree with previous posts that the orchestration after the vocal is splendid; it seems to be a common feature of late 20's dance bands to play a 'hotter', more syncopated chorus directly after the vocal. Directly to favorites!

  • A thrill indeed. Thank you.

  • What else can I say than I still get a thrill (listening to you); Brilliant! Moreover it's so interesting to hear this rare record from a Toronto Canadian band.

  • A fantastic reverse side too, 'If I could be with You'. Very good but of course I hold Jack Payne's as my favourite!

  • I LOVE that tune and yes Paynes is very fine but i think Swains would be just as good going on all his other 1930 recordings i have heard!

  • It is good, very good and you will of course hear it tomorrow!
