Old wives tales? Does that include acupressure and acupuncture? Ridiculous to discount anything except pitocin or syntocin, which are very aggressive methods that don't work with a woman's natural ability to go into labour.
Interestingly enough I was specifically told to do the 'wives tales' at my OB appt yesterday. Drinking Raspberry leaf tea, having sex, eating fresh cilantro, walking, etc. were all brought up. Obviously there's something to them if she's telling me to do it. I am overdue though, so I'm sure that makes a world of difference, plus I also go to a clinic that is a little more open to natural means and really works to avoid inductions.
