How to Install Homebrew Channel, BootMii, and DVDx on Wii System Menu 4.1 and below

Hello I have the wii 4.1 and I did exactly what the vid told to do and when I copied the 3 files and then pasted them.Put the sd card in the wii my sd card is an EMTEC 1GB and i went to turn wii connect off,not got the cable connected so didn't need to do that and i went to the wii channel and then to the sd card,finaly after trying 10 diffent types of homebrew software I got a picture in the sd card but it was 3 ??? clicked on it and it doesn't open.Any suggestions greets lee

@alisterfletcherluvr BootMii is controlled only using the Power and Reset buttons on your Wii console. Power is to move, and reset is to select.

bootmi's having a hard time installing, ive tried several different types of installations. It always comes up with failed (-1) after i try to install it. My only bootmii install option is IOS aswell. do you know what the problem may be? im using a panasonic SDHC card 4gb could the type be the issue because im able to install homebrew dvdx but not bootmii. Any help would be appreciated. my version is 4.1e if that helps.

You cant use a Gamecube memory card, you can only use an SD Card that does in the front of your wii.

DVDx lets you play DVD's on your Wii. It mods the disk drive. Its your choice.

Its WORKING! You need to download apps onto it then it'll start working. You may want to firsly start for Homebrew Browser. Thats where ALL homebrew apps are listed. Youtube it. Theres ALOT.

Btw, i'm feeling kinda paranoid about this 'cause i'm not sure when to do this.. when exactly are you NOT supposed to have the nintendo wifi on? you said something about that 'cause it'd mean being banned.. i'm talking about after the channel is installed of course :)

The time when you should NOT go on Nintendo Wifi is when you are using Cheat codes with GeckoOS, Ocarina anything. No cheating on wifi, it'll get you banned. If you have homebrew channel and use wifi, nothing will happen. Just dont use Wifi with CHEATS.

Just wondering about the whole Wii Connect 24 thing again (you're probably annoyed about this by now xD).. I'm not supposed to use Wii connect 24 while using cheats right? cuz i'll be banned, but then how is it that others use Wifi with their friends with Brawl for instance using cheats and nothing happened to them? i'm kinda confused :(

(Im not annoyed. I just hope it works for everyone. ^^) WiiConnect24 can be On while using cheats. You will only be banned if you are using cheats online. You're friends hacked online so they are added to the Ban Wave list which will take effect by December. You wont be banned right away.

To play games from a burned DVD you need to patch the MIOS (Wii Disk Channel) so its able to read it. A warning is that it modifies your NAND (Wii Hard drive) and if it messes up you can permanatly destory your Wii unless you back your nand up with BootMii.

Make sure you DO delete it because it could mess up your Homebrew Channel if you keep it on there.

Usb loader runs wii and gamecube backups for short. No gamecube or anything. T

USB Loader only runs Wii and Gamecube backups. No channels. The only way you can brick your wii is if you use the incorrect IOS's and such or improper use.

If you install DVDX, USB loader can read DVDS AND USB. Neogamma just runs from a usb and usbs can slow gameplay.
