  • It's dead...chunk it.

  • are you sure its not qrm from BT broadband over powerlines. Dosent sound quite like it but its a possibility.

  • Nope it's definitely not, as even with squelch right up and antenna disconnected it is present, and pressing buttons manipulates it. It's a dead radio lol

    73 DE MI6TUX

  • Ok then, My bad. Have you replaced the cb yet, if so what did you replace it with? Also is there much Cb activity in your area?

  • give ye a fiver for it but you have to remember i want the mic as well!!!

  • lol mark MI3UTY has it :P

  • at the minute shes in my shack lol

  • ...not doing much ;)

  • SWR at 1.1 and thereabouts is fine ... which leads to two possible conclusions 1. the problem arose elsewhere , or 2. the SWR meter is at fault and / or because the patch lead between rig and meter isn`t soldered correctly , etc... just a pity the smaller rigs don`t incorporate an ATU ...

  • Um dunno ... might be fixable ... might be better to try a Ranger 10 thru 12 Metre rig instead ... check them out at Radioworld online ... sustained usage with high SWR may have fried the circuitries ... just let it sit there for ornamental value in the meantime ...

  • SWR was about 1:1 with a height of 1.5:1 in rain/snow - think it may have overheated...
