  • It's like this guy never heard of people before the refrigerator salting their meats. This shit is retarded.

  • so, dont eat the fries, but everything else is good!!!

  • @BenniRocco36 one test sample proves nothing. i could prove that being homosexual is 100% too if i only did one test. not everything you see on youtube is real. repeat that to yourself. and think for yourself.

  • McDonald's fries did not mold because they are fried twice dehydrating the food. I would compare them to All-natural Kettle chips. Potato, oil and salt. Put them in a jar for 20 years and they won't mold. Just because it doesn't spoil doesn't mean it's bad.

  • @sparkyx326 exactly.

  • Dammit i just ate mcdonalds today XD

  • Anyone who says they're "not real fries" or they're gross or whatever is just stupid. If they were made from anything but what mcdonalds says they were made from, someone would have sued mcdonalds about it already and won, and they'd be out of business. PS, Your body doesn't use air to break stuff down.. it uses chemicals, and liquid. Stick some water in with those fries and watch mold appear! wow! -_-

  • what about if u have mcdonalds food in 1989 and u still have in 2011 that would be interesting

  • Makes me want a McGrill! LMAO!!!

  • fire that intern

  • I work at Mc Donalds, so I figure out by once an hour I give at least six people diarrhea so a full eight hour work day I give at least forty eight people diarrhea. Yeah I stopped eating there when I had to take out the trash and empty the grease traps.

  • Ugh I always thought the fries were the only thing they had on the menu that I could stomach... I guess I have to give it all up now

  • So, just buy anything from McDonald besides the fries.

  • hey thats supersize me guy

  • The MacDonalds fries are not real fries. They are made of cardboard, and alot or perservatives. :)

  • this is from 30 days:super size me

  • My dad's just gone out to buy McDonals...

    Fuck that shit D::::::

  • a friend of mine waited an entire year, ate the fries, and he said the ONLY difference was they were cold

they didn't mold in an entire year!!!!

  • You have to consider that the junk from the fries goes into your arteries, too.

  • @Mindraker1 What junk??? They are made from potatoes and fried in vegetable oil. It's the chicken and fish products you have to avoid because they fry those in lard. The reason fast food fries don't mold is because they are frozen. The Ore-Ida fries you buy from the grocery store will do the same thing. It's because they flash-freeze them which dehydrates them. The only fries I've ever seen mold are ones made from fresh potatoes.

  • I allways wondered why the fries were always so mushy

  • くーいーもーんーをーそーまーつーにーすーーるーーなーーーー(戦争で本土を踏みにじられたことのない国民だからな、、、)

  • Food breaks down differently in a body from a jar..... hello ever heard stomach acid... it breaks down food we ate...

  • what does this even proove? we shit it out anyway

  • I'd fire that intern

  • Mccdonald's fries has many salt so it preserves de food

  • lol that intern kept screwing up :P

  • I was gonna go upstairs and eat some cookies. Then I watched this. For some reason I'm not hungry anymore.

  • "McDonalds fries are made from artificial chemicals, and derivatives of milk and beef extract. The chemicals they use prevent fries from spoiling, and from digesting properly in your system."

got this from a website. sick, right? and yet people still eat there everyday...

  • Eww! I wonder how the fries taste after 11 weeks.

  • This is silly, food decays MUCH slower without air, it can't get any air inside a jar -_-

  • @poodoo138 That is not the point.

The point is that while the burger and fries from the regular restaurant decayed within X days, it took the Mc Donald's food so much longer to get to that same state of decay...

  • this made me hungry for some micky d's yo!

  • anyway he said if this is what it will look like in your stomach basically, to be honest id rather have the mcdonalds fries n big mac because theyre less mouldier than ther reagular burger and chips so hes provving himself wrong .

  • i will not be eating their fries any more

  • When my mom bought her Jeep in 2006 I spilled French fries from McDonald's under the seat and couldn't get to them. 3 years later when we sold it and were able to take off the seat they looked the same

  • This is the kind of marketing that world of today needs about McDonalds. Good job man!

  • Are you gonna eat that? Nah im just joking with you.

  • Dont try and convince me to stop eating mcdonalds! it won't work!

  • Whoever made this definetely needs to study biology first

  • The fries came from Chuck Norris's ass.

  • fries is interesting

  • I dare you to eat that food rot!

  • im not eating fries anymore

  • Don't be a moron. The fries aren't breaking down because there's too little water in them to sustain spoilage organisms. The substate used in petri-dishes remains stable for years until you add water and stirr.

  • @soylentgreenb I see your point, but then how come the regular fries got moldy?

Wait, who were you calling a moron?

  • @mypetpearl "I see your point, but then how come the regular fries got moldy?"

You didn't fry them long enough or evenly enough(doesn't have to be bone dry, but you can't allow wet areas, e.g. in the core of the fries)

  • Mcdonalds fries = god

  • If you're a fat fucker, wanting to diet, but are addicted to McDonald's and just can't help yourself, then I strongly recommend you watch this video. Trust me, you'll loose your appetite and hopefully will loose the flab. It has put me off McDonald's.

  • @seekayFilms , true. Conditions inside a jar and inside your stomach are completely different. But that's not the point, really, the point is how natural these foods are - or even better, how unnatural. the food we're supposed to eat is natural and should mold; if it does, it passes the test. when food doesn't mold, you can't really call that food...

  • @Lady1216 Not true. The fries are potatoes that were sterilized by frying in oil at 300 degrees for 10 minutes. The necessary enzymes or cultures required for a chemical reaction no longer exist on the fry. Food does not start to decompose or get moldy until there is a contamination on the product. Notice when you leave a loaf of bread on the counter, it will grow mold in the spots that you hands make contact with the bread.

  • @UpYours By simply carrying those fries in the car and holding them in the air they should have been contaminated with airborne microorganisms. The normal fries would have been heated in exactly the same way. Artificial preservatives, artificial flavours & colours, aspartame and sodium benzoate are all bad for you. If bugs don't eat them why should you?

  • @Lady1216 Thank You!!

  • This is despicable, all this video is trying to do is make people associate these images with McDonald's foods, so they are too disgusted to eat there. The real reason they threw the non-McDonald's food away was that it was probably just doing the same thing as the McDonald's food and that would completely destroy their objective.

  • i think this guy was the man who was on supersize me.

  • @rachelward1992x ya thats what im thinking to.

  • I had a friend who worked at McDonalds who told me that the fries are made with preservative injected potatoes and salted so that they dry out when they cool, so they don't mold much.

  • yeah but u shit it out before long...

  • hey you cheeeky mann!! u ate half of those fries dont lie! hehehehe, that big mac is rude

  • hey you cheeeky mann!! u ate half of those fries dont lie! hehehehe

  • Why did the intern have to throw the food away, what a pussy.

  • OMG Ihave to go puke!!O_O

  • EWW...I'm never going to McDonald's AGAIN....I'm going to BK! :D

  • O_O I am now scarred for life. Lol I have mould phobia... why did I watch this? xD

  • Probably the least scientific "test" I've ever seen.

  • Im sure the lack of moist potatoes in those french fries had a LOT to do with them not molding.

  • That intern is fucking incompetent.

  • That's why I stopped eating from McDonald's 5 years ago. I appreaciate and love my body too much, to do this to myself (and I am a smoker :)). Nothing's worse than McDonald's fucking poisonous "food". You know, I am not american, I am from Bulgaria (probably never heard of it), and I am happy that I know the real taste of real food, because when I was child I spent my summers at the village with my grandparents. The most tasteful is when you just pick it from the garden,

  • @Pipilotadream What is fucking why? Did you even watch the video? The food is food, and molds and degrades much like anything else left to its own devices. McDonald's is in no way poisonous (as if it were there would be serious legal ramifications) and is in all respects food ( as if it was not and served so, then there would be serious legal ramifications). You possess this grand lack of knowledge of America and the immense history centered entirely around beef and how good it is for us.

  • @DasOberJagan Yes, you are right. Beef is good. Sad there is no beef in McDonalds. Only some kind of tormented, raped with drugs animals (God saves their souls). If this is what you call "beef" or "meat" or whatever you want. Let it be so. For me it is POISON! But everyone is free to make their own choices in life. I made mine and I am happy. Everyone else is non of my business.

  • @Pipilotadream You smoke yet you chastise McDonald's as "fucking poison" you sir are a retard. Good day.

  • @Pipilotadream Oh you.

  • The super pommes :D

  • I swear, I think I've seen you before!

Maybe you're the guy on the McDonalds documentary? I can't tell.

  • @PowerFusionX he's the guy from super size me

  • @yankovic1234 Yeah! That's the one.

  • IT IS NEVER IN YOUR STOMACH LIKE THIS!! IT IS SHITTED OUT WAY BEFORE THEN!! DON`T LET THIS ALARM YOU, PEOPLE. I gotta go get a burger now...

  • I STILL LOVE MCDONALDS

  • i dont even wanna imagine what the food smelled like -_-

  • Who cares? People don't bitch about twinkies and we still eat them. McDonalds fries are tasty, get over it!

  • 2:28 black and crazy

  • 16 People don't like to watch food rot

  • I started the frys experiment and they are still going after 3 years.

  • Morgan Spurlock is such a pompus asshole. Your fucking movie is FULL of falacies and flaws!!! You suck! Make a real arguement!!!

  • I think the fries would break down too? due to the HCl in our gastric. :P

  • What made this video even grosser was the guy's narration of the whole process. Just he's choice of word. . . but still a great experiment though. Now we know the unknown.

  • This guy looks like the guy from Supersize me...

  • @imsomeoneunique12

    It is.

  • I was eating when i saw this.....

  • Nuuuuu not the fries D:

  • I once found a fry, that had dropped on the car floor and gotten buried under a floor mat. It had to be 8-10 months old - cause I eat junk food so rarely. Although it was a little dry and withered it looked exactly like the ones in the video. Still intact.... I'm guessing that the body too might have a problem breaking down partially hydrogenated veggie oil. Yuk..

  • Fries breaking down on their own in an isolated glass jar =/= Fries breaking down in your stomach acids after you've chewed them. Or at least I'm pretty sure they're not the same.

  • @SeekayFilms All foods should break down after being cooked. For these fries to "survive" unchanged, you have to wonder was added or done to them. Then ask yourself if you should ingest it.

  • sorry guys but their r no magic chemiclas in the fries that make it last longer. basically mcdonalds uses little to no water in their fries and mold and fungi need water to grow. The other food this joker is comparing to is probably baked and grilled...but try eating one of these old mcdonalds fries and i guarantee u will throw up

  • @MrSuperDuperAnthony No, there is tbhq on it, lighter fluid. It acts as a foaming agent and a preservative.

  • what a dumb intern!

  • Well at least the burgers went bad. I'll avoid the regular hamburgers tho.

  • McDonald's smell scares me. It's so addicting it makes you wonder what's in them.

  • He made me laugh really hard while he was explaining how disgusting it is... At least i wont ever eat there anymore...

    LOL

  • i hate it how people say they dont do anything in their stomach, stomach acid would break it down

  • @JaZa0Entertainment though they would break down, do you have any idea what all those preservatives would do to your body?

  • This made me go mc donalds and order a tun of food aaa im full that was amazing yum

  • I always knew the fries I ate there were old, but didn't know they could be THAT old. I'm so glad I don't eat at McDonalds any more. So gross.

  • imagin eating this >.<

  • HAHAHA i'm only eating fries from mcdonalds, just imagine eating those other things that go mouldy,i'm sticking with those freaky fries wtf is going on with that? btw nice glass jars

  • the fries are filled with bad preservistives its not just the salt thats how disgusting and unhealthy maccas is.

  • lol the big mac at 8 weeks looks like its covered in snow, got icicles coming out the sides and everything.

  • Now eat em all, lol that would be worth watching!

  • this guy was from supersize me

  • sometimes i find old fries when cleaning up. they always look fresh and new, and of course dry.

  • Everytime they show the dramatic rotten burgers and then pan to the relatively presentable looking fries I laugh. Not sure why.

  • its the salt, size of the fries and the oil it was cooked in

  • @SUPERMJPERRY1 then why did the other fried breakdown, that were also fried in oil and salted ?

  • @JOKAWILD26 Because the other fries are larger and have more water in them...and most other places thats serve them don't add salt..they let you do it...Mc adds salt everytime

  • how the hell did i get here?

and how the hell is this shit supposed to be used as an example of what goes on in your stomach? all food, including french fries, would start breaking down the second you put them in your mouth.. i would like to see this idiot eat that quarter pounder..

  • @TheByrne21 Exactly. Fill those jars up with some acid with around the same pH as stomach acid, cut up the food to get pieces closer to the size of what we get from chewing, and drop the food into the jars and then see what happens. It's not like we swallow food whole and it sits in a dry container inside our bodies growing mold.

  • I'm hungry!

  • ewww!

  • Just think, Marty from Teen Angel ate a burger from under Steve's bed after 6 months!

  • Sodium chloride, sodium nitrate, monosodium glutamate. All Flavour enhancers, all preservatives, all American. That's why Mc Stuff takes longer to grow mold. These inhibitors help to ensure Americans remain the most obese people in the world, and die of hypertension. All that's left to do is wait till the pharmaceutical industry rapes your wallet :D

  • mmmm mossy goodness

  • fuckin french fries....

  • The fact that it points out American, makes me want to say, hey, we arent the only ones with McDonalds, its all over the world...

  • @WiiForever302 America has more mcdonalds than anywhere else by far.

  • @wallspiderbones Doesnt mean every single one of us is fat. ...

  • here is a thought.... eat the damn food! dont expiriment with it... its fucking good

  • i'm glad the fries don't break down...so when one falls between the car seat, it doesn't stink the car up...

  • Why dont Mcdonalds haters just go die? NO FOOD IS SUPPOSED TO MOULD IN YOUR FUCKING STUMACH!!!! THE STOMACH CONTAINS ACIDS THAT WILL DO THE JOB?! MCDONALDS ONLY CREATES GOOD FRIGGIN FOOD WITH FEW BACTERIAS!!!!! DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WHORES!

  • @patrick123gk why dont u stop being a tard? isnt this video supposed to show you what happenes to the food OUTSIDE of your stomach? thats why its in jars dummy...

and if McDonalds food was "good friggin food with few bactarias" it would have molded JUST LIKE THE OTHER FOOD, not a few months later... god

  • everything looks gross, but i like hot fresh fries :P

  • So your intern was disgusted with the regular fries, and not the chicken mcgrill? O-o

  • i was hungry when i started this video...not im not

  • The fries just dried out so they didn't mold. Nothing all that spectacular about it.

You should've microwaved the fries and given them to the intern.

  • you can't explain why the fries are lasting so long? it's called preservatives. look it up

  • @runninglemonstudios sir, if i may say so myself, you win

  • should have left the tops off the jars

  • who cares if the fries dont mold ill still shit them out in 6 hours

  • @Bowbins Thats not the point. The point is "How it's breaking down in your body"

Whatever preservatives are in them. They are leaching into your body.

People don't truly understand,80% of people's health problems "Today" is the food we consume. The other 20% is natural diseases that occur, then Some of those are caused by Foods..."All the Garbage in America" So The % of health problems caused actually goes up! Too who knows????

  • This is why I have 6 tons of McFries stashed away in the basement in case of armageddon.

They're right next to the twinkies :D

  • @RunningLemonStudios so basically your helping your friends survive by being too fat to outrun the zombies

  • @TheRussellEmerson Pshhhh! I'd never eat my survival food unless I absolutely had to! That's number 1 in my zombie-plan.

With that attitude, you'll never be allowed to join my zombie massacring team.

  • @RunningLemonStudios That is great except Twinkies have a shelf life of about 3 weeks.

  • @RunningLemonStudios

    twinkies because of zombieland ?

  • hey i like filet-o-fish...with extra pickles!

  • "Duh, OK boss." I think you should fire the intern.

  • cant belive how ppl can live off this peace of crap food.

  • Just Dumb and Pointless

  • ?? Aside from the fries, what is the big surprise about food molding? If Morgan Spurlock wanted to make a point about how bad McDonald's food is, this was a wasted experiment. And I agree most likely the salt in the fries and they are probably so dehydrated now they can't grow mold. This was a waste of money and food someone could have eaten. That's a real shame.

  • @dryfish888 very satirical or maybe cynical perspective don't you think? i hope your pseudo intellectual rant made you feel good though.

  • @ant1ph0n Why yes, having an opinion does. About as good as yours. Thank you :)

  • That interns a little bitch.

  • 0:48 Filet O' Horse more like it

  • .................stuff it im going to mcdonald's

  • Im Hungry

  • meme les bacterie ont du mal a le mangé !!!!!!!

same the bacterium have evil ate !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this guy is a dumbshit. this is NOTHING like what happens to the food you eat. if your food is molding in your digestive system, then you have a bigger problem than mcdonald's...non-moldy fries FTW!!!

  • @williamcg1979 exactly

  • Everyday.. Walk to your kitchen and you see mcdonalds for 11 weeks, wouldn't you get hungry?

  • makes me want to go to mcdonalds

  • Comment removed

  • orz crazy.... how can it be? is it a really FOOD?

  • The amount of salt added while the fries are being processed would explain some of it, yes, but the amount of salt we'd be talking about is ridiculous ! We salt fish here in my country, and fries shouldn't or couldn't possible have that much salt. But the type of oil they are fried with, might have something to do with it, carbon doesn't break down too well solely on air.

  • I'd say the fries didn't age because:

    1. No Cheese. Cheese is essentially bacteria/mold infested milk.

    2. Lack of cross-contamination. They touched all the sandwiches (and possibly the other fries) when they put them into the jars. (Could be touched by workers at MD's, but they're scooped into the box so *shrug*)

    3. Preservatives in the fries. MD's fries are prefabricated and then shipped to the locations frozen and loaded with preservatives. They're designed to keep for several months uncooked.

  • you cant compare this to the way it breaks down in your stomach

watch a tomato time lapse. it gets just as gross, are you saying tomatos are bad for us?

  • i would eat mcdonalds food if sommeone had a gun to my head
