This is a standard style cab-forward fully-enclosed cab engine, meaning the engine is located between the seats of the rear passengers. The Javelin (only produced for about 4 years in the mid 1990s) had its engine mounted mid-ship on the chassis just to the rear of the cab. The Lance, Dash and Arrow were produced with open canopy rear jumpseats or closed cab configurations.
The Pierce responding from station 8 is what looks to be a 1994 Pierce Javelin, which was the only Pierce to be built standard with a fully enclosed cab.
