@arechikitsune becouse it would be stupid to release your game on a final fantasy date regardless if its a major release or a minor.

if you wanna know what happens when you do that look at yakuza 3's sales. they released it on final fantasy XIII's release date. never broke a 10,000 sales.

I've beaten the snes version (despite being in Japanese) many times and recently found it translated. This makes me want to but a PSP just to play this game with the Star Ocean Second Story engine. Looks unbelieveable!
