Really its just the standard bunch of hand tools. I use a milling machine to do some of the coping which is overkill. sometimes I use my stationary belt sander for trimming and adjusting the coping. All the welding is tig welded.
Great video. I want to see more. could you also please tell us about some of the tools you are using? Like what welder and other specialized tools? I look forward to watching your build. Thanks for posting!
@jessehart05 Thanks Im glad your enjoying it. makes all the hard work on the vids worthwhile. If nothing else anyone building wont make the mistakes I make building mine lol.
@jessehart05 Also i never got answer your questions but the tubing cost me about $750 delivered from wicks. Keep in mind though that i split shipping with two other guys and my share of shipping was $72. Wicks was by far the cheapest and we got a good deal on the 3/4" tube and I think their price has since went up. Also remeber Wicks sells chineese made tubing and thats why its cheaper. It meets all the same mill specs though. I cant remember what some of your other questions are.
@Fokker1915 It is my first vid camera and I just got it a few months ago. I really am enjoying it. It is amazing how easy it is to get info on this type of thing compared to when you built your fokker. Got any good pictures of it?
@MrBullfrog92 Sure do, Look under flying for Building The Fokker in my website. dub dub dub jimforeman and you know what goes after that. Can't include my website in a reply.
@Fokker1915 Jim I didnt realize who I was talking to here. Your video on My life in colorado makes me homesick for CO. To have someone of your experience and abilities think that I do a slick job of welding is a real honor. Your stories are so much fun to read. Thanks for the comments.
@Fokker1915 Thanks. I was hoping my vids would shed some light on the grey areas of building a Double eagle and I guess I hadent thought of it as a primer to tube construction. I am glad you see it that way as yes I guess it is.

A video camera would have been a great thing back when I built the Fokker but that was in the day of 8mm movies and 8 Track players.
