  • i cant get this shit loud enough!!!

  • Clutch, like most good artists are very hard to keep track of. Imports and unreleased stuffs. Clutch has tons of rare songs out there. I'm like 3 or 4 CD's behind now lol. TY goatboy.

  • @Zen3y3 Much like Mark Sandman of Morphine. Quite prolific in his own right.

  • Clutch FAFO

  • Great song

    Great album

    Clutch NEVER Disappoints!!

  • the other songs where added as filler when it was released under megaforce records, the lead riff sound relay similar to the one in i send pictures

  • Only Clutch can make music about fictional monsters from an old TV show sound so great. Fantastic band, and song.

Also, the first bit of this song, lyric-wise, is a rehash of "I Send Pictures" from the second Jam Room release.

  • I had no idea about the lyrics reworking, my Jam Room came on a white-label CD with no artwork courtesy of River Road. Never heard "I Send Pictures", wasn't on my copy!

  • Well, there are two separate versions of Jam Room. The first was released in 2000, apparently, and the second was released in 2004. The second included three more songs:

    "The Drifter"

    "I Send Pictures"

and "Sink 'Em Low" (Different version of Sinkemlow)

All three are pretty good songs. I didn't know about them until recently, either, though.

I'll send you a private message with their Amazon links.

  • Actually, seems I was wrong. First version was released in 1999. I was right about 2004 for the second version, though. Can check the Wikipedia entry for more information.

  • this is not the same song the lyrics are differant...or well some of them. They did this on Pure Rock Fury and Jam Room with a song called sink 'em low or sinkemlow as it apears on pure rock. As is the case this time its a reworked song differant sound and differant lyrics. Amazing how they can do that and make both sound fantastic.

  • Man, I had no idea there was a reworked "Sinkemlow" either. And here was me thinking I was Uber-fan! I'll have t get the other version of Jam Room to hear them. Cheers for the info.

  • @Goatboy73 You can't be a Uber fan and not have Jam Room...lol.

  • nope

  • they changed some words but basicly the same lyrics and rewordek music

  • dude u keep saying that. but this is not a b-side to any other song and there is not a b-side to this song.

  • @FriendTron450 Sleestack lighning off of Strange Cousins from the West and I send Pictures from Jam Room both have some of the same lyrics they do change a lot of the words and the music is very differant. You can say they are differant songs and I would agree but listen to both of them and look at the Clutch website and read the lyrics to both songs. They both start out "I send pictures through the mail" for example. I'm not sure why your disagreeing or what your even trying to say here. Dude..

  • @Goatboy73 That blows....lol.

  • @Symbiotell

The rythem guitar is from I Send Pictures as well, kicks in at :43 and repeats... love driving to that song...

  • I did not see the other posts, lots of great info there... thanks to all who have the goods on the songs...

  • @SymbioteIII

This is actually a cover of a famous blues standard called "Somkestack Lightning", originally sung by Howlin' Wolf back in the 50's. Clutch just reworked the vocals to sing about Land of the Lost; which is badass.

  • @bews522a I don't see the similarity in songs. Just the name. Sleestak Lightning is a reworking of The Drifter by Clutch--different lyrics.

  • @SymbioteIII A lot of people cover blues standards without obvious nods the the original; and I don't say that in a cynical sense.

Give the original another spin, its definitely the same vocal hook, but Clutch totally made it their own on this track.
