This video made me smile. It took me back to my first visit to Samoa back in 1987. The child falling asleep 4:34 reminded me of myself sitting on a random persons knee, awake for a few moments then dozing off to sleep. Although, one cannot get a good power nap on a bumpy, over crowded and music filled bus ride i Samoa hehehe but hey what a great way to see this beautiful Island ! Thank you for the upload eddiesailor :)
ur welcome, but its nice tho waiting long in the peaceful village and watching people getting on with their day. And you can see things on a samoan bus unlike any other bus u been on hehehe. When an elderly person walks in anywun in the front seats will let that old man or lady take that seat and he or she will stand. If the the bus is full especially after school, someone might seat on ur lap hehehe. I miss riding the samoan bus tho...peace
@Alvie5 : I miss that experience as well, Alvie. I really believe Samoa is the most beautiful place in the world, definitively because of the people who lives there. Amazing crazy islands... take care of you dude!
oh yeah and haters like you hate for 3 reasons, 1. You're jealous 2. There person/s have done wrrong by you or 3. You just hate for the sake of hating oh wait and 4th you're just a lowlife with nothing else better to do. If you're life sucks don't go around hating on us and dont tell us you're goodlooking cause if you were you wouldnt be locked up in your house attached to your computer because its the only thing willing (well forced)to look at your pathetic ugly face.
@neomysterio wow you're such an ass with your ugly hateful words, but hey if hating makes you feel good go ahead i mean make fun of our race however you want make lies up because that can't and wont bring us down, because while you're typing your hideous thoughts we know that all of what your saying is well...shit and deep down you know you're jealous cause you're a lowlife behing your computer its ok dont worry :)
rode my first bus when I was 19 visiting Samoa for the first time.... passsed on sitting on some dude's lap, opted for standing on someone else's plywood, next to their dog. Dad was a bus driver back when we used to live there, moved stateside when I was a year old.... he was the first driver to pack the buses... used to have guys sitting on the rooftop, last bus out of Apia, didn't want to leave anyone behind. Definately an experience you shouldn't miss, plus the music they play is a trip.
@eddiesailor No, respect goes to you. You're the one visiting our homeland and documenting it in a positive manner. I love being Samoan and everything our rich culture has. I enjoy the simple life that living in Samoa affords, nothing like the manic, hectic lifestyle we are used to here in the states. Planning a trip home next year, will definately put my boys on one of those buses. An experience they shouldn't miss out on. Manuia le aso!
@JaDeJo03 : I really appreciate your words JaDeJo. I say: how ever could I describe the paradise in a negative manner? In W. Samoa – that I consider one of the last corner of paradise of this planet – I met the most generous, positive, polite and beautiful people in the world. I left there some good and precious friends. Malae, Faleolo and their lovely kids. I sent them a little "help" after the tsunami and hope they're all in a perfect shape now. God bless Samoa.
@wuggacrt : he he he!! u're right WUGG! I spent a few hours bouncing up 'n down those wooden benches, riskin' my theeth... but u know, paradise has a price to pay. A big hello 2 your cousin the bus driver!
Man you probably cant fight for shet. Come down hawaii and I'll kick your ass. Samoans have shuttin down sports nations for years. So you better shut the fuck up freckin white boy or what ever the fuck you are.
@neomysterio i think u r a most wanted ugly person in the world...if u see in samoa on ur own ugly face...they don't have homeless people over there like here in usa..all the state...
@neomysterio: the reason is so simple. People in polinesia has an unbelievable food avaliability, if you compare it with other country of the world. More, they has no reason to be stressed and they uses to dedicate themselves to very little sport activity.
If we add together all this factors, the answer is very easy to find: obesity.
Today, unfortunely, their DNA is almost compromised and the fight against obesity is actually a priority.
@TheUsosic Why are you writing in caps? Are you angry? You guys have trouble controlling you emotions. Footballs sucks, I could kick your ass in an MMA fight.
@eticap Your whole race are cavemen only dumber, you prove it every time you comment. I know you are burning up inside because I know your race very well from the area I used to live in. When do you ever see a Samoan with a good job? LOL
@neomysterio Well, actually all Samoans are not fat. As a matter of fact, most Samoans in Samoa are relatively slim, and a lot of them in the states have a muscular build. Anyway, what did Samoans ever do to you to deserve such mindless, ugly, hurtful babble. Samoans, for a very long time, have engaged in rigorous sports activities. If only you knew how serious they were about rugby and volleyball. You know what I don't think you believe everthing your writing, lol, you just enjoy the feedback.
I am actually in Las Vegas NV. The economy is very bad here, so I will have to wait on my dream. But one day my friend, I will visit that island paradise and all it's beautiful people.
@checkers1245 : Oh Vegas! It's not a long trip from there. LV is a crazy place indeed, a perfect spot for dreamers. Just kidding... I know it's not a fortunate moment down there as like here in europe. I've been in your city several times. It has been the last place I visited during my "thirsty route" in 2007.
If you check my videos, u'll find something about Vegas...
There can be a lot to do in Las Vegas if you like to gamble, take in the shows and eat at the buffets. But there isn't any real culture here. Most of the city away from the strip is all desert landscape. No beautiful trees or beaches. The people here are real friendly and it seems like a lot of criminals come here. I guess that is the "Sin City" draw to this place. I guess too that is what makes the dream of going to Samoa more interesting. Someday I will make it there.
@checkers1245 : oh yeah I know. I'm a reporter of the National Geographic Italy and I spent a few days almost ev'ry where: Pahrump, Baker, Death V, and whatever, so I understand what you mean. Not easy to face that kind of landscapes for more than a week, unless you are just a "touch-and-run" tourist and a gambling maniac.
