While I still believe there is no "in your face" romances in FFXII, I do think though the pairings are implied. If you've done the Viera dating quest, the NPC has hinted that he never thought it'd be okay to date a Vierra until he saw a sky pirate and his Vierra partner together. And the picture of Baltheir/Fran in the end credits hints something. It also hints at the end of the game, of Vaan and Penelo. Ashe and Basch is implied at the ending as well, when Penelo says Ashe misses Basch.

At 3:40 I think that ring plays a big role for her. Its the ring of her dead husband, Rasler, and she gave it to the man she entrusted it with, Balthier, whom promised to give it back, which he has. Memories of two men make up that ring. Especially Balthier, since he is still alive, and he's the last one who had it.

Btw...that was Rasler's ring right? x'D I played this game so long ago. I forgot...Unless that was her ring? What did she give it to Balthier for again? LMAO ok I'm done.

I don´t know. I played the whole game and I never had the notion, that Ashe and Bathier would make a good couple. He and Fran get along better...plus I think Ashe actually loved Rasler even though their marriage was for politics sake only.

And thinking about it, everyone would be worried for a comerade going back into some exploding airship. I wouldn´t want any of my friends in there, so I´d rather go myself.

lot of ppl seem like they didn't play the game through. Ashe obviously meant for balthier, and he is not dead. however ashe seems to let go of balthier as she puts down the ring and smile while reading the note balthier left for strahl. Now ending is open-ended. and there may be some stroy of these two in ds version of FFXII so.. I'm going to go play.. regardless, plz play the game to fully appreciate the video.

Wow, that was incredibly sad and moving. I'm finding myself more and more a supporter of these two. I guess I also took from the final video in the game, Ashe is the only one showing emotion with what is happening to Balthier. Great music, hearing it at the end of the game, well, I think your video here gave it more impact.

oh...the song is so sad and yet it fits so well.i was conviced in the beginning that the song was related to balthierxashe but i think it refers generally to the story.
