as a African American how could you be proud of your country in the 50's an 60 and much longer before than of course she would be proud of it now because Africans aren't fighting for freedom or their rights anymore African Americans went through a lot I couldn't agree with her more because for the first time I am to like I said I'm sure she had to grow up watching whites hate blacks and watching her people have any rights because of their skin color

I have a hard time believing that Obama does not share Rev. Wright's feelings and beliefs. He went to that church for more than 20 years and is good friends with Rev. Wright. Only now, during election time, he denounces it. His actions speak louder than his words.

Either way, this is the first genuine election the USA has had in a LONG time. As the self-proclaimed torchbearers of democracy, American politics is finally shaping up to be compelling viewing.
