  • Please someone help! what is Omo oropo?

  • @67emeka Omo Oropo in the track is just an accolades or applause for a man whose name is Oropo who reigned from ijebu-ode

  • surely 'BOARD MEMBERS" is a masterpiece and been brought up with OBEY'S music has helped me greatly in life having focus ,been not materialistic are of great advantages when compared with the trend of Music this day.................i kept wondering why Obey abandon this line music

  • At 3:47 "Iya Mama mi lati wa Oluwa ni"means"My grand mother is like God"."E da aye kan ko le si mi nipo pada" means"Her support gave me life, taught me and brought me in the right line" "E le da mi gbe mo (mi) leke aye" means "Her support gave me(is my) life" Ezeokoli Eric Okwu(Igbo man, Nigerian).I live in California,USA.

  • @eezeok01 indeed ur an igbo man with ur translations very funny, can't stop laffin. For just 3:47 says 'ayanmo mi lati owo Oluwa ni' meaning my destiny is from/ made by God, 'e da aye kan ko le si mi ni po pada' meaning no human being can change/ truncate my destiny.

  • @eezeok01: Ayanmo mi lat'owo Oluwa ni" (My destiny is from the Lord.) "Eda aiye kan ko le si mi nipo pada" (No one who is of flesh can displace that ordained portion.) Eleda mi ye mo bebe ye, Eleda mi gbe mi leke aiye." (My Creator, I beseech you, make me triumph over worldly adversity.) I don't mind your own take, though; I might chant it when I'm really very happy! The album was made in 1971 and 1972, as indicated in the uploader's notes. Nna, kedu koodi?

  • Lati Egypt de Johannesburg omo-Afirika okan ni. Awa lati fe irele ati ara-kan. I am an Igbo man. Ebenezer Obey, re orerin ni lati gbajumo nibigbogbo.Ezeokoli Eric Okwu. I live in California,USA. Omo-Afrika gbogbo o ye ki, lati ko eko Swahili,Hausa,Yoruba. I speak Hausa, Yoruba and Swahili

  • Is anybody aware that Ebenezer Obey's wife pasted away in August?

  • Truely a masterpiece! it keeps me ON when listening to this particular album.

  • thank you for uploading this,i am only 25yrs but i love Obey so much.

  • This music drew tears from my eyes as I remembered my beloved father Sola Gbaroye. He was Obey's great look alike,he possibly named me Ebenezer because of his love for Obey.According to daddy,'Board Members' was Obey's master piece.

  • I was only sox years pms when I first listened to it. Wow!!

  • Evergreen, great song, good memory of my parents. God bless obey

  • @3.47- "Ayanmo mi latowo oluwa ni. EDA AYE KAN KOLE SI MI NIPO PADA. Eleda mi gbemi leke aye". POWERFUL. To that I say aro aro mo. Could only have come from the 'Commander' himself. May he live long.
