@dillon212 yes you should rejet. The bike comes running pretty lean from the factory anyways. Its not too hard. Just set aside an hour or two and go for it.

But I bought the ATV already re-jetted. We had to re-jet my old 300ex though. Just went to our local shop and bought the jet size that FMF recommends (on their site). All you do is take off the carb, unscrew the old jet, and put in the new one.

Stage 1 is based more for engines with stock bore and stock compression pistons... Just the normal bolt on stuff like a pipe and air filter. It also is based more towards low and mid range power. Stage 2 works best with mild bores and high compression pistons (most popular seems to be 11:1 compression) and is aimed towards mid-top range performance. Stage 3 is strictly for heavily built engines (usually engines that have been bored and stroked (460+) with a high compression piston...............

continuing my other comment. Stage 3 is almost always goes with very high compression pistons (12.5:1 for example) and is aimed more for top end performance.

For the stage 2 hotcam, I would HIGHLY recommend a high compression piston of atleast 10.5:1 due to the loss of compression with this cam. You do NOT need to bore your cylinder for this cam, although I do recommend it.... I forgot what my other comment said... sorry if I'm repeating.

i feel so much power just in 1st and 2nd gear..my clutch is going out and slipping so i dont get the full power but in hill climbs the tourque is amazing i still can beat guys with other exhaust up hills just not the starightaways. i advise u too buy one there not tht expensive on ebay..

I dont know what the sound limit is around where you live, but around here it is 96db. With the quiet core in, it is below 96db. Without it i want to say its 99db, but im not sure. You might wanna look into the FMF Q4 pipe. They claim the same power gains, but its alot quieter.

ooh man im not entirely sure... I bought the quad already re-jetted. But from what I hear, you should go out and buy a 150, 153, and 155 main jet. start with the 150. If its lean, pop in the 153, and if its still lean pop in the 155. For the pilot jet, I hear people have had great success with either a 40 or a 42. But remember, different brand jets can and will be slightly different sizes.

ughh.... ive had this same exhausr for about two weeks. i bought it but my dealer charges 100 dollars to re jet. its total bullshit. its good to make a profit but it only takes like an hour and doesnt cost anything to do it for me.. but hey its a buisness..

Why don't you rejet it yourself? Its actually not that hard. Just take out the carb, unscrew a few screws, take out the old jet, put in a new one, put back together, and put it back on the quad. The only problem I see is trying to find the right jet sizes... but with a bit of research, you should have no problem... But $100 for a rejet is completely unreasonable.... I did mine for a total of what... 50 cents?

I love it. If you ride trails, then you will love it too. This is by far one of the best trail bikes ever built. Throw on some +2 or +3 a-arms and a pipe, and then you'll be fine for racing if thats what you are looking into. The 400ex is one of the must easily customizable bikes on the market and parts are really easy to come by. However, if you plan on drag racing in a straight line and have a very very deep wallet, then the 660 is the bike for you.

We brought it up to the lot behind out house and got kicked out because apparently someone complained. But this was before we got our quiet cores. I haven't tried the quiet cores out, but they should help quite a bit. It is hard to find a quiet yet good performing pipe. And yes, I did notice a good increase in performance too!

All the biggest bore kits, aggressive cams and high comp pistons wont do shit to get you past the stock 68 mph without changing your gearing and raising the rev limiter. :P
