Thanks for posting! But be careful in in opening several measures, because you are adding in extra beats. The opening is in 3/4, not 4/4. You are adding an extra beat at the end of each measure. It sounds nice, but it does not blend with the rest of the piece. If you listen to the film soundtrack, those opening bars are definitely in 3/4. 8 )

Well - of course, they sound a little different - but I really think, that the composer of the Piano Theme used the Leiermann as the core for this composition. The harmonies and atmosphere seem very close - and further: When I have seen the movie, I was remembered by the Leiermann before this Lied could be heard.

I just can assume, the composer has used the Leiermann. And I think there is nothing bad in doing that. It's a great song. I have posted a version, too, as you can find in my profile.
