hey, random question... I live in scotland too. where did you buy your fire bellied toads? can you feed fire bellied toads and newts the same thing? and do you need a heat lamp for fire bellied toads?
@BrandonTheHotGuy Because he actually cares about the well-being and happiness of his animals. Your tank is extremely overcrowded. The bigger the better!
The newts don't fight? I've heard paddle tailed newts are very agressive, and I had to split mine up because they kept biting eachother. What do YOU do?
I use a gravel cleaner on my tanks, which sucks up the dirt and leaves the gravel. Have you tried to syphon and does the sand stay behind? I was wondering if it was too light weight to syphon. I like the look of the sand.
nah its easy to clean out. I just siphon half of the water out once a week and replace it with new de-chlorinated water. I clean the filter out about every 2 weeks unless i forget lol.
Amazing set up!! It looks very very natural! I really love it ! I love how you used java moss on the drift wood, and the grassy water plants alnong with the white sand it looks amazing !! Is the sand your only substrate for keeping the plants looking healthy like that?

Yes i do syphon it and sometimes sand does get sucked up but after a while i'll probably just have to top the sand up.

Incredible, beutiful tank! That´s the way an amphibian tank should look like! Is that a filter in the tank or just a pump?:)
