  • 2nd best ELO album. Saw the time tour at the NEC Birmingham UK. What a great evening out, never forget Jeff dressed in yellow and black looking like an oversized bee lol. Jeff is a musical god, up there with the likes of Lennon, McCartney etc.

  • badd ass video , what else is there to say

  • Great song but the video doesn't fit for me. In this song a man taken into the future is missing his girlfriend badly. He meets an android with high artificial intelligence who looks a lot like his girlfriend but her personality just doesn't cut it for him! I wonder if the person who made this video, like a lot of people, equates futuristic A.I. with violence, weaponry, the dominance of machines over humans - but this is not at all the ethos of the song, nor of the the album.

  • I have to disagree with some of the comments on here, regarding the song not fitting in with the video, i think and always have thought of "TIME" as a sci fi sounding album, therefore ghost in the shell is perfect for that sound. TIME is probably my favourite album in the whole world, and i wouldn't say that lightly, but then i suppose we are all different, so what works for me, might not work for someone else. ELO are simply the best band in the world though, "no arguments" there!

  • Wolfgang Vock

  • Violence and ELO...no, that doesn't work...

  • Correct me if I am wrong, but the vid reflects that ppl with the most powerful weapons met their demise.

  • Love the song, but the violent video was'nt necessary. I am an ELO fan, not one of bloody Manga violence. Sorry!

  • bloody marvellous....I am back...I've reconnected with ELO.....there is a god up there!

  • Jeff Lynne is an underappreciated genius!

  • Ghost in the shell is the name of the animation your watching NOT the name of the song. ELO: Time, Out of the Blue, New World Record that is when they were great!

  • Strange thing that Jeff didn't like Time. But I am sure it was because it was the first time the record company made him record a LP to fulfill his contract and asked for hits.I heard him on the radio promoting it when this came out. He was aloof and said the lyrics don't mean anything. The interviewer was live on an hour show and said Jeff c'mon you got to give me more than that. Jeff didn't care about ELO at that time. Ed

  • that's really depressing--thinking that Jeff's lyrics meant nothing on Time. But I think I'll ignore it and go on about my ELO-adoring business. :D

  • Well I don't believe him, lol.

  • Fab song but didnt this have a diffrent title? 2095 or something??

  • Yes, on the Time album, it was "Yours Truly, 2095".

  • its great to see so many ELO fans here.

I thought we were few,but it seems we are quite a lot !!

    greetings from Uruguay

  • i luv ELO but y hasn't anyone appluaded the GITS part of this vid great job

  • Time, the best album of the 80s!

  • oh yeah

  • TIME by Electric light orchestra, the greatest album ever, beautiful sci-fi music, and all produced in 1981, incredible. Beats todays shit hands down.

  • @ronnieneo Ranks in my top 5 ELO albums. Listening to this with headphones on is almost like an LSD trip.

  • this song rocks!

  • Fantastic track by ELO off of the album TIME (1981). If there ever was an obvious single that was never released in this format, it's YOURS TRULY (2095). A Should-Have-Been-Monster-Hit!

  • True that. Goddamn I love this song.

  • A Should-Have-Been-Monster-Hit if it had been sung by another band.
