I just got one a couple days ago. Absolutely brilliant fish. Couple inches long, gets along fine with everything, even the Kribensis. I have to say, mine has a striking color on it's back, one half is dark brown, other half is tan, split right down the middle. So far he's shown little interest in blood worms, and tends to go after flake food instead.
@SMULPY brilliant. i managed to get him to feed. he is wild caught so i had to wean him a little. he only hunts at night and i put in 2 small crickets and yeah he hunted them and actually attacked one that managed to climb onto an over hanging leaf. amazing sight.
I can tell you by personal experience that neons DO go missing. I had about 15 before i bought one of these, and now im only down to three (mind you, this was in a VERY short time. Between 3-4 days.)
I want one so badly but I only have 2 10 gallon tanks and my parents would kill me if i went and bought a bigger tank. Plus I have no where to put the tank.

@Bravehear71992 - Just put the cricket about 2" from its face, so it can see it. It needs to be moving as well. Mine are straight away.

i have a 6-7 liter fish bowl...enough space for a small butterfly fish....cause i want a bad-ass fish but unique too
ENRIQUEGOITIA 2 years ago
Enrique... don't do it. bowls are way too small. you need at least 48" by 18" of swimming space for these things.
HeavenzBreaker 2 years ago
i didnt buy the fish...have no cash ...48inches wide that a huge tank! what the size of your tank...?
ENRIQUEGOITIA 2 years ago
This is an awesome fish! I am saving up my money so that I can get one of my own.
