@bassl0va - I think it did 154 sealed up at the dash on TL but on an AC meter I saw it do 158-159 with only 4 subs working at a low freq, he built it to hold the bragging rights to be the loudest musically in the LI/NYC area.

you could also just wire the subs out of phase it does the same thing. but it creates standing waves, and interference and stuff, so it won't be as loud.
if you have the same net volume inverted or normal doesn't it hit the same? i know if you just take a sub and flip it from normal to inverted in the same box it will hit lower but that's just cause there's more air in the box for it to play with because the sub isn't displacing any air inside. so if you have the same net volume inside will it change?

Guy on our team gorilla side,had 2 18" XXXs on 4 Memphis 4kws strapped, walled, and they took the power, but also had a battery bank to run a small town, no voltage drop, no clipping, very nice clean power, doing a 157,3 on music 16volts, each amp was clamped at 48xxrms, so they were getting alot of power, tbe 4" coils really help to handle the power, so I hope with my new set up the 4 15" xxxs can handle 24kw!!

@kevin10r - nope, the it's the supposed RMS but most people I know that used them said they can't handle 8500 for too long, they recommend keeping them around 5000-5500 at the most.
I have tried it in different vehicles and you are correct that it doesnt really give you any different sound just gotta remember to switch the phase on the subs whten they are inverted :)

as the ears as sensitive to mid/highs much more and you get permanent hearing damage from too harsh/too loud mid/highs.
whereas an extremely loud sub doesn't damage the hearing if it's deep as you feel it more than hear it.
unless it has peaky mid bass which can still cause permanent hearing damage very quickly if over 130dbA

From what I hear even though they're rated at 8500rms they can only actually handle around 4000-5000rms but either way they hit and sound real good

@kevin10r - nope, the it's the supposed RMS but most people I know that used them said they can't handle 8500 for too long, they recommend keeping them around 5000-5500 at the most.

I have tried it in different vehicles and you are correct that it doesnt really give you any different sound just gotta remember to switch the phase on the subs whten they are inverted :)
