What. the. hell. are you guys talking about? She's off key on just about every note! The first time she sings "I am colourblind" is just about the worst thing I've heard today. She completely loses key there. Also, the piano isn't even as "clean" as the original. I don't mind that someone tried to cover this song, I DO mind that it's this atrocious.

@poggeh Gotta agree. From the very first "I am colorblind" my ears immediately felt awful. A great attempt and an amazing song, but she's no where near in the same key as the piano. It's not about being sharp or flat, she's entirely in a different vocal range than the piano is playing.

@mauvehed Do you even listen to music? Singer's aren't supposed to mimic instruments in the same vocal range. That would make all songs sound completely boring and bland. There's a reason why there are more than 16 key on a piano..

The counting crows are the best band of all time...well I know that's an exaggeration, and obviously subjective. Still, usually when I see a cover of a CC song, it makes me want to puke. Firstly, Natalie has a stunning voice and the video is well thought out and choreographed. I applaud the singer and the creative minds behind this wonderful piece.

That being said, the original version appeals more to me because the singers voice is not as pure as Natalies - it has a coarse quality more fitted for the mood of uncertainty in the song and the idea to taking a leap of faith in that life-changing decision. The purity of Natalie's voice gives me more of a sense of clarity.

This is a different version from the CD that I have of Natalie Walker's Urban Angel. The piano is lower and the whole song a little bit slower.
