i just started a week ago actually, i never stuck with it because i was bothered that my right ankle clicks when ever i do them, but since i started running barefoot it got a lot better, and although it still clicks and and feels awkward its better.
i'll make a video of the clicking noise sometime... at least some of it is genetic, my mom has it, not like it stopped her from doing gymnastics.

By becoming "stronger" it would require that you go to the gym constantly, so then even if you were stronger than you were now it still wouldn't be a big deal when comparing yourself to the person who does not attend the gym on a regular basis.
