I never usually watch cover song videos on youtube and I never make comments. In fact, I made this account specifcally to comment on this video.
Dylan is my favorite artist, this is my favorite of his songs. Your version is brilliant. The guitar, harmonica, vocal inflections & delivery are all amazing. Keep up the good work. Thanks
thanx. I think you are correct in that statement, but I just did'nt want to copy his version so decided to make it a little upbeat. I do think it sounds alot better slow tho.
I listened to Empire Burlesque the other day for the first time and this song blew me away. I like your version as well. Like your voice a lot. Great job!
It's my favorite song on the album, but I actually liked most of the album a lot. I'd have liked it a lot more if the percussion had been toned down a bit overall. First three cuts were so-so, but the rest were good. Clean Cut Kid was fun!
i guess thinking back now, there are actually a few other good songs on there but when compared to Dylans other stuff, it falls way short short. compare it to either: Brining it all back home, blood on the tracks, blonde on blonde, desire, highway 61 revisited, another side of bob dylan or freewheelin and the difference is really noticable. I'm not a fan of that 80's beat-box computerised sound either. the cover of it kinda tells that it is gonna sound like that.
I completely agree. I do feel that his last three albums are very, very good, so I am very encouraged. Speaking of the Empire Burlesque cover, I would like to know who the woman is, on the back cover. You can only see the left side of her face.
Did you see any shows this year? I am seeing him next weekend, in Woodstock!
no, i ain't got a clue who she is. I have never seen him live, he was in england in april. Unfortunatly I never had the £75 to buy a ticket and I would have had to go on my own as well for nobody I know likes him.
Thanx. It would sound so much better if you covered it for you have an amazing voice. You probably ain't heard this song because it it off a not so good dylan album called "Empire Burlesque". This one stands out like a shiney penny on the pavement.

Liked it! Personally, though, I think it's a song best sung slow and soft.

Nice one. I agree at £75. Funny how so many think they are 'of the people' but rip off their fans instead.
