The effort was fine, but I would not sit through a presentation that I had to struggle to understand. I manage a lot of chinese who it seems gave up learning english once they "thought" they could speak it. If what they have to mumble and slur is important, have them repeat it as many times as I need to glean enough verbs and nouns to grasp what it is they have to say. In this case it sounds like grunts and gurgles and nothing intelligible.
