  • I don't know if it's his playing or sound quality, or maybe he's not usin pedal properly, but the clarity is terrible. Horowitz dominates in clarity.

  • @Skenderbej If you can make it easier. Then you by all means should. At college, I played this piece for my finals and my tutor at the time, gave me the tip, to play the first C sharp on the second beat in bar 79, with the left hand, and do the opposite coming down in bar 80. This makes that last broken chord run far easier. Though it is an etude, there are no rules saying you can't adapt certain parts, as long as the notes are the same, it is not a problem.

  • Very great playing.

    But unfortunately,a very small mistake

    But great!

  • Arthur,

This is outstanding, and a real inspiration.

I've listened to this like 4 times in a row now...

    Bravo

  • Spectacular performance of this etude.

    Bravissimo.

  • One mistake in the second to last bar. Fabulous recording. It seems this impossible Etude is standard for pros.

  • It is sad to read here how some poor souls and I am putting this mildly are always ready to point out mistakes of others. It seems as though they can not enjoy music. No one is perfect and there are no perfect performances.

At times I just think you guys are just downright jealous! Go get a life!!!!

  • 2 mistakes at the last 2 bars... to bad :D but awesome recording

  • I can hear one wrong note indeed (e flat instead of e natural) but not two... what is it ? I thougt I'd keep this version cause it was the most interesting one, even with this mistake... thanks for the appreciation anyway

  • @idforart at least one c# is missing at the end, if not both of them (second last notes)

  • @idforart u have 1 mistake and u think of it as the most "interesting one" and thats why u keep it, i can play the right hand 2 times slower and i think its just awesomely BRILLIANT * -.-, u are NO HUMAN!!!!

  • Reminds me of pollini's seminal recording. bravo

  • Excellent!

  • Un grand bravo !

  • buena expresion!

  • very powerful and breathtaking. i like the contrasts. great job ! looking fwd to the cd

  • 素晴らしい。彼は演奏の能力だけでなく教える・表現させる能力にも長けている。次のアップロードにも期待しています。
