  • I think it's good! For years land lords have charged way to much. Once this becomes mainstream there will be no coming back. No more fast food chains...we want what's real so lets be real. We don't need a toys, logos, and value meals. Let's eat what's good when it's good.

  • He screens out the bad carts. So that why he doesn't talk negatively about the vendors.

He does need to distinguish from the good from the great vendors. Otherwise, he just another foodnetwork head.

  • you have a disgusting eating face

  • you never criticize..you always say that the food is good!!!! Come on, there must something bad about the food????

  • @Surishta LOL, he probably weeds out the bad ones before he makes the shows. Meaning, he probably ate there once before.

  • This left me hungry

  • YAY!! Charlotte, finally!

  • anything with pork as its main protein is almost certain to be good! =)

  • I'd love your job, going around and getting paid to eat... *sigh*

  • Local food tastes better (or different) for more a couple reasons: The obvious is that it's fresher since it comes from a closer distance and a smaller operation so it can be processed more quickly. The less apparent reason is that small farms use different feeding practices. Usually a lot of live grass supplemented with quality grains. Commercial meat is typically grass fed first and then overfed with starchy grains to fatten the animal and therefore demand more money for the increased weight.

  • My parents grow vegetables and herbs every year at home. Greenbeans, tomatoes, zuchini, pumpkins, basil, and thyme are the ones I can think of offhand. They also have a small strawberry garden that produces very tiny, but very sweet strawberries.

  • I really like your videos (I even went to some of the places in MA). But the closeups of Dan stuffing his face with as much food as he can so its spilling out of his mouth - its starting to be annoying.

  • My mum grows lemons, figs, olives, mandarins, passionfruit, basil, mint, and vlita, which is like a greek leafy green. :) we also grow beans, tomatoes, basil, parsley and strawberries when the weather allows, and in the past have grown cucumbers, marrows and capsicum as well.

A few years back my grandmother and grandfather won a prize for their garden, which they dedicated a lot of time and love to. Their produce always tastes amazing, too. Growing your own food runs in my family. :)

  • Dan has a HUGE mouth. hahah

  • My mom is growing her own tomatos, onions, garlic, herbs, corn, etc this year. I would like to but I'm going to be moving in a month so I'll have to wait to grow my own food until next year.

  • Woot Carlotte NC! My boyfriend lives there. You should've taken me with you Dan xD

  • Wow that food looks amazing!

  • :( i want it sooooo bad

  • The Farmers Market here in Tucson AZ SUCK'S!!

They have more people selling their crappy souvenirs and ugly Arizona Style jewelry than there are actual farmers selling their produce... How LAME Tucson

  • I grow my own herbs: basil, sage, oregano, parsley, cilantro... I also grow tomatoes, and I might venture into growing a small strawberry patch. :D I am limited on space, but I grow as much as I can. If I can't grow something, I buy it organic at my local grocery store, and when in season, my local farmers market. :)

  • Have you noticed if the meat is more rich, tender and a little goes a long way? I ate from the farm as a child, and really couldn't eat as much because the food was so filling. Fresh slaughtered food tasted so differently, I was shocked at first. I was a kid with a "hollow leg" and was not prepared. It overwhelmed my digestive system at first. Then I have spent most of my life trying to repeat that experience.

  • lol dan looked very angry when he said cut!

  • I grow my own food kale carrots lettuce squashes, 3 kinds, cabbage, onions, leachs, cucummbers, tomatos beats, and turnips My goal is to produce at least half of the food I consume in a year. And buy local the rest, I rent and I still grow, you can too. The next goal is to get rid of all processed foods. This is hard, because you need to learn how to cook. I do not mean heating up food I mean real cooking, stuff that they don't teach any more.
