  • i always click Zomby's videos, because i'm like ''oh cool more ZOMBOY's songs i haven't seen!!'' But Zomby is good too!

  • @N1cX591 zomby is legiiit, zomboy is meh..sounds just like skrillex to me

  • Fucking amaaazzing.

  • I prefer to call this wonky. Why? Because so many people have a mis-conception of what dubstep is. The dubstep that everyone thinks is dubstep is a shitty excuse for dubstep. I prefer to distance myself from that mainstream garbage and listen to good stuff like this. Original fucking dubstep. Just a shame I have to call it wonky so I don't get some fucking n00b-ass kid saying this song sucks because it sounds nothing like "dubstep."

  • this sounds like minimal :)

  • just like to point out to all you fuckers who think this isnt 'dubstep' this is original dubstep, not 'dub' thats a whole other genre, this is dubstep anything with 2 step drums and 140 bpm is dubstep, thats the basics, 'dub' coming from the basslines that the genre dub has and the 'step' coming from the 2 step drums...so shut up you silly little cunts who are moaning about this not being dubstep...grow up

  • @TheOfficialTopix I thought this was jungle?

  • Skrillex should make a remix of this!!!!!

  • @55jimmyboi I will find out where you live, murder your entire family and then you if that happens.

  • @afrochap

To damn easy to troll you youtube faggots.

  • I came here thinking this was a take on the Billy Holiday song. Dammit.

  • @deadithink come to my page for that ;)

  • i'm an old school jungle head. the reason i like dubstep is because it sounds like drum and basses young retarded brother. feel the bass!

  • you all realize this song isn't dubstep right ?

  • @andreljn1o im curious how u would categorize this. future garage?

  • @DjPrehab honestly i have no idea.........it's just zomby he doesn't really stick to a genre he just makes what he makes.

  • @DjPrehab

    Some call it wonky

  • @andreljn1o aww whats wrong no wobble bass hipster?

  • Time and time again i come back and back, years pass and i come back. This is talent.

  • All these hipster queers saying what is "real" dub and what isn't.... Just because the genre has gone mainstream doesn't mean you have hate on those particular artists. Get over yourselves, underground and mainstream both have great producers

  • @TheRealCMeta reallest comment ever

  • @T3MizT3M lol thanks... I totally meant to say dubstep though. I know this tune is jungle btw, but I was getting annoyed by all the elitist comments on here.

  • @TheRealCMeta Don't you know? Nowadays anything that is slightly electronic counts as "dubstep"

  • @XVIIITheMoonXVIII I hope that's not true. I love chiptunes but I'm not digging dubstep at all except for few and rare songs.

  • @TheRealCMeta dub?

  • @aidsyturban I corrected myself, i meant to say dubstep, was typing fast.... Even though this isn't dubstep but everyone seems to talking about it in the comments

  • @TheRealCMeta 17 ppl who liked this listens to mainstream dubstep....fuk you

  • @TheBrownbomb3r ok... thanks for proving my point, asshole

  • @TheRealCMeta True to the max friend. I remember the days artist like this where all in the same group, they didn't care about who sounded like what. Neither did we. We just listened.

  • @TheRealCMeta STFU. It is DUBSTEP not dub. DUBSTEP DUBSTEP DUBSTEP DUBSTEP. Maybe these "hipster queers" have been listening to Dubstep since it grew from grime, dnb, garage, and Dub reggae and have seen their beloved genre turn from subbass focused into a pissing contest to see who can make the shittiest filthy midrange crack.

  • @TheLogicalProgress I already said I meant to say dubstep, and why are you so upset? It's people like you who annoy the hell outta me, not the people who listen to mainstream; there's less whining and bitchin' from them.

The music you love is still there, it's just not on the mainstream radio. And you should actually be thankful for that, because stuff like this are little gems that most people fail to grasp.

  • Was at a flat party and the DJ dropped this at about 5am... Shit got real

  • Zomby is gonna eat your fucking brains...Skank!.

  • silly noobs, skrillex isn't real dubstep!

  • In my opinion Zomby's pretty bad, this really isn't my sort of dubstep though so it's not surprising

  • @TehGlassman You're off your head you dickhead, go listen to some skrillex, or better yet, go watch your chump as fuck UFK favourites, stupid fuckwit..

  • @MongCunce Actually I don't like Skrillex or UKF for that matter...

  • @MongCunce The kid was only stating an opinion, you lowlife youtube trollfag

  • @TheRealCMeta Go read through the comments again for attention grabs ya poof

  • @Pdbottleneck -if by "shit" you mean "Durty, Filthy, Sick Dankness" then yeah, you are correct, butt-fucking, puss-sniffer.

  • this sounds like shit

  • @Pdbottleneck lololololol trollnoob

  • ummm so Zomboy and Zomby are two different artists?

  • @ChromeFang Yeah. they sound completely different anyway

  • This is officially my favorite song of all time.

  • great!

  • skrillex can shove his shit up his arse and go home. this is a true heads tune and still to this day no one has ever came close to producing a tune as clever as zomby does

  • I can't even hear the bassline on my tinny computer speakers but this already gets a thumbs up.

  • reminds me of Dj Assaults 'Return of the Terror Tec', good shit.

  • I was raised with Skream Benga Hatcha Zomby etcc

and i thank God it was like that and not with Skrillex and Flux.

But what irritates is tha fact some hate them.

They're just musicians. They do what they love and some people just love to listen them.

    Respect that

and keep respecting 'our' dubstep !!

  • Thom Yorke likes it.

    So there.

  • this is dirtier than my mothers.... oh wait, this isn't dirty, it's just fucking good.

  • @ all of you.........WHO CARES YOU FUCKING PRICKS

  • tbh, if you call this 'real dubstep' then the todays dubstep that has evolved from this shouldnt be put down because it isnt like the old. things evolve for better or worse. if people really have a problem with skrillex and doctor p and the like, why not just rename the genre? zomby = dubstep, skrillex = yobstep? i dont know be creative, all im saying is, just because music has evolved and is still called the same genre doesnt mean to say that people shouldnt like it because its the same genre

  • @jaxash4000 Haha, that's already occurred. Skrillex and Datsik and all them are considered "brostep" (well, some of Skrillex's music, some of it is electro-ish) and the old stuff is "dubstep" (zomby, Burial, Digital Mystikz, etc). The problem is, most people will get the names confused and call brostep dubstep, immediately causing elitists from both sides to launch hate missiles :(

  • @thespandexman Dubstep is dead, there is no argument. Nothing is released anymore in dubstep on the good side, not much anyway. It has all sounded the same since 2007 pretty much. UK bass music is where it's at now.

  • @Jankem18 A lot of Zomby and DMZ releases are from 2007 and later. What are you trying to say?

  • @jaxash4000 Looool yobstep, I take offence to that. I like skrillex, but that doesn't mean that I don't enjoy pre 2008 stuff as well.

  • My knowledge of dubstep is limited, started listening to it in 08 or so via the DubwarNYC podcast. HAven't really spent much time searching it out, but I do love it.

This sounds so different form the stuff on the podcasts (though there was variety on it). This is much cleaner and more electronic sounding, it's good shit. Anyone know of any good dubstep nights in NYC? Other than dubwarnyc?

  • @tripleleo Yo, dubstep is dead.

  • Even though i am mainly a fan of new dubstep (scary monsters was the song that got me into dubstep), i think that this song and every other song zomby made is pure genius. just my 2 cents.

  • Its when you hear those kind of song that you realize all the past of the dubstep music. I mean, you show this a flux pavillion fan and he probably won't like it.Flux is good ! But I prefer the first and real ones. Hatcha, guys In magnetic man (Ksream benga artwork) burial, caspa, rusko, etc !

  • They had a BURIAL in the ZOMBY race to celebrate the death of POP music!.

    LONG LIVE REAL DUBSTEP!.

  • hehe, i first heard this at a Prada show... so sick. their dj has such good taste

  • why does it get cut off at the end

  • I wouldnt mind having this as one my 5 a day

  • @alexvanasse

    Alittle fast? Dubstep is 140bpm!?

  • Comment removed

  • Isn't this a little too fast to be dubstep? ... and lacks the 2/4 time signature, no? Don't rant, im just asking....

  • @alexvanasse lol dubstep is 4/4 mate

  • beautiful bleeping

  • *fap fap fap*

  • This is just like the oldfag/newfag debates you always see on the internet.

Im no kid, and have been listening to dubstep ever since skream, benga, and all of the other Dubstep allstars first released their debut albums. and you know what?

I also listen to bar 9, rusko, datsik, and all the other "grime" or "brostep" music aswell. Its still Dubstep, and just because people are starting to branch out and listen to more heavier styles of this genre, doesnt mean they dont appreciate the old aswell.

  • @bio165 most kids dont even know who the pioneers of the genre are, thats what gets to me. All these kids now days have only heard of skrillex, which isnt even close to legitimate dubstep.

  • @ActionJacksonBMX how old are you?

15?? the only people dat dont get it are the ones goin on about how gud the old shit was, just get over it and enjoy themusic

  • @MYPRODZ There are loads of people who "don't get it." I hear loads of people praising Skrillex and Rusko as dubstep "masters," a title I believe neither men have earned, and that makes me sad. Posting that fact doesn't mean I "don't get it," it just means I don't agree with them. Youtube comments are ridiculous.

  • @MYPRODZ I'm saying the legit dubstep sound isn't around anymore. The shit has evolved and I don't like it. There is no soul, no mood, no rhythm for fucks sake. Skrillex is like listening to a drill fuck a monkey. Also, learn how to spell and properly form sentences you tool.

  • @ActionJacksonBMX went to a dubstep show last night, lots of weight there. so it still is around.

  • @ActionJacksonBMX They should call that stuff WobbleStep. Your right there is some awesome dubstep that has like no wobbles in it or very subtle and it sounds glorious. Give me more of that and Zomby is very awesome stuff.

  • @ActionJacksonBMX would you care to enlighten us all about these pioneers of the genre?

  • @SuperDanyblue Pioneers of the genre would most definitely have to be Benga and Skream, they turned the scene from London only, to a big majority of the world. Those two spawned Caspa, The Others. Caspa took Rusko under his wing essentially and turned him into what he is today, ever notice the similar sound between Caspa and Rusko's older productions? Dub Police records brought about Sub Soldiers, their sister label. On a side note, I think Rusko is the reason why some artists have sold out.

  • @ActionJacksonBMX don't forget Hatcha, he was there since the beginning

  • @SuperDanyblue Rusko has caused a major change in the Dubstep scene, allowed people like skrillex to get in. True dubstep is hard to find these days, but if you could honestly find all the dubstep youll ever want from Skream, Benga, Caspa and the Dub Police label.

  • @ActionJacksonBMX You seen the video where Rusko apologises for creating Brostep? funny stuff

  • @SuperDanyblue I left out what even spawned dubstep, DUB. King Tubby, Scientist and Prince Jammy. YEAUH BOI!

  • @ActionJacksonBMX AIII BOMBACLAAAAT

  • @ActionJacksonBMX lol i agree, im 12 but zomby, burial and coki are my favourite producers, im pissed because all my favourite music was before my time, so i missed my own era if thats possible lol

  • @ActionJacksonBMX Skrillex is for noobs.

  • @ActionJacksonBMX who cares...it is part of evolution...you are the keeper...they are the grower....just how it will always be....

  • @ActionJacksonBMX

Most of Skrillex's stuff would be considered electro house.

His best considered song was Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites and it wasn't even that great.

He had better stuff than that.

In any case, this song is pretty cool. ^_^

  • @MixMasterShyGuy haha are you kidding? Skrillex is definitely not electro house. And Cinema was his most liked song

  • @ActionJacksonBMX

more people need to hear this message. we need obama campaigning this

  • @ActionJacksonBMX as a dj i appreciate the amount of people that like this :)

  • @ActionJacksonBMX I'm 19 and from LA, I listen to producers like Mala, Skream, Pinch, Hijak, Chef, Icicle, Benga, Coki, Kromestar and 6blocc. I just so happen to also enjoy producers like skrillex, doctor p and excision. It's because i like what i like, not what the masses say is real dubstep and what is shit. Oliver Jones himself said he's a fan of skrillex.

  • @andreljn1o Congratulations. I appreciate the origin of the genre and don't appreciate the bastardized version of the genre skrillex has done to it. Good for Skream liking Skrillex. COOL STORY BRO.

  • @ActionJacksonBMX the bastardized version of dubstep? Negro please. You know dubstep is the "bastardized" version of garage right? Cool story bro.....my little sister says that.

  • @andreljn1o Jesus christ kids, calm down.

  • @andreljn1o +1 lol

  • "Artist: Pattie Blingh & The Akebulan Five"

    Wtf??

  • People need to accept the fact that a genre will change, it's inevitable, and a natural process. It is still important to stay true to the roots of the genre, which Dubstep hasn't exactly managed to keep, but the people that accept what it is becoming and just put it aside and continue to love the classics like this are the true, respectful Dubheadz

  • this brings me back too the days.....when dubstep wasnt just a fuckload of wobble bass that producers overuse, sure i make dubstep with wobble basses but this is the real stuff some of the classics ;)

  • 420 likes.... FUCK YES!!!!!

  • Make sure to turn the bass up

  • i must admit,i was firstly introduced to the latest genre of dubstep,i really tried to enjoy it,but then i was introduced to the more classic tunes, opening up my mind to burial, four tet,and all sets of music genres ive never heard of,

    AND ITS FUCKIN DOPE

  • It's 8-bit!

  • why do i like such trippy music

  • @ROBSICKLE100 because you're a stoner? dunno...

  • Just enjoi - genres are pointless and only inspire conformity.

  • i can imagine Zomby laughin his ass off when he sees how the YT kids tryin to press his track into a genre.

  • @Pherox83 forreal lol

  • This is dubstep at its best, understood?

  • download link to 'Where Were U in '92?' plz

  • this is not dubstep. this is much closer to techno. techno is a style of fast, heavy electronic dance music, typically with few or no vocals. dubstep is tightly coiled productions with overwhelming base lines and reverberant drum patterns, clipped samples, and occasional vocals. which best matches this song?

  • @youmils03 good job at copying wikipedia. lol. But you're right, not dubstep.

  • @youmils03 no techno is kids who dont know anything about electronic/dance music so that's what they call it, e,g 'screamo'

  • @youmils03

    Wikipedia much?

  • @Agingdanger hahaha ya :P the point is that this is not dubstep..it could be electro house

  • @youmils03

This is dubstep, dude. Just listen to the beat.

  • @terminaldeity ehhhhhhhhh................... okay fine..if you insist then its kinda dubstep..but its like a dubstep-techno combo..if u want real dubstep check out skrillex or rusko..be inspired hahha

  • @youmils03 techno-125 bpm

    dubstep 130-145 bpm hardcore techno - 170bpm

dubstep is just 2-step garage that is bassier and more experimental

  • @djredi2step this song is somewhere in between..definitely NOT straight dubstep..if u want straight dub i'll show u some

  • @youmils03 ok show me straight dub....

just to warn you dubstep and dub are 2 different genres.

This is in some ways influenced by techno, but. its got a 2-step beat, snare on third etc. and a ridiculoius amount of bass. techno is 4 to the floor with the bass in the drums and a lot slower. this isnt the middle ground. btw skrillex makes electro house not dubstep.

  • this is way better than the newer dubstep

  • i luv this

  • oh shit i heard this on the gaslamp killers sonar mix!

  • Need a fabric mix from this guy......

  • This shit makes my cavities hurt. . .

  • sometimes its funny just to scroll down to see all the beaking about peoples stupid fucking opinions lol stfu and apreciate the good shit !

  • guys, i remember the time when dubstep found it's place on the scene. My first dubstep record was Burial - South London Buroughs. According to the fact that time passed by, I see hype growing around the 'wobble' bass. It may sound impertinent but, I guess that such a trend is approved only by the 'late generation' who could'nt feel/hear the magic dust on 'old' dubstep tunes. To me, the wobble bassline sounds monotonous and sometimes lame.

    Kids won't get this post.

  • @raebaesthe

I enjoy both kinds, I don't think the divide is necessarily so clear cut. I find pleasure in both, and I can understand why one might alienate the other. Such is musical taste.

  • @raebaesthe And 21 elitist people will re-affirm their ego and yours by giving you thumbs up :p Dude, enjoy the music you like and let others enjoy the music _they_ like! Musical tastes aren't a pissing contest and all types of music aren't meant to be listened to at the same time, space or mood!

Enjoy and let others enjoy! \o/

  • @NaxNax96 amen

  • @raebaesthe some people like both, you self-righteous, ageist wanker

  • @raebaesthe So this is like the original Dubstep? From my ignorance and what I know about Dubstep, it doesn't seem like it to me.

  • @AntonioVassZanBomber wikipedia lol.

  • @raebaesthe Couldn't agree more, And I'm a teenager.

  • @raebaesthe

So eloquently put, I second that

  • @raebaesthe you sound like a pretnetious fucking faggot.

  • @raebaesthe lol as if you're some fucking guru. you act like a kid, you don't understand people, the very thing your life revolves around. people are never the same so why try and make it seem like one is a dumbass or unintelligent because they prefer something with more energy or something more chill. learn to respect everything even if it doesn't make sense to you.

  • @semajnivek Dude, he didn't put anyone else's views down. He put a tangible movement's views down and made it fairly clear he regarded his views as his own and not everyone else's. Take a chill pill. Or maybe a drag.

  • @raebaesthe However burial is 2step and not dubstep.

  • @raebaesthe what happened to 2 step and UK garage influenced dubstep? such as burial. and have the children forgot about house music as a whole? so sad.

  • @playdoughnotprozac Joy Orbison has some crazy stuff coming out which is housey. Pinch - croydon house... another example of a housey track.

Also, theres alot of the dubstep you are on about coming around now, check out people like Dark sky, Kahn, pangaea.. etc etc.

    Good luck :D

  • @raebaesthe Nice post, don't define by age though... It's mentality.

Some people just can't... feel it..

  • @raebaesthe some true words spoken there my friend :) i think producer (me for one) overuse the wobble bass and need to bring some of the classic dubstep back its been forgotten and burial, zomby, for tet.pinch and others are slowly being forgotten about............and im 15 ;)

  • @raebaesthe Agreed (even though im a "kid"). I don't care if you want to listen to Rusko or whoever, just don't try to tell me that he's a pioneer of dubstep or he's like the "original".

  • @iamKorupt chyeah, there would be no rusko if it werent for Caspa.

  • @raebaesthe

I'm probably a "kid" by your standards but I agree that dubstep songs with ridiculous amounts of wobble are annoying. I like wobble, but I hate it when it drowns out most of the song. The main thing I look for to enjoy in dubstep is the drums. Part of what makes it "dub" anyway.

The latter of the genre needs to be renamed. filthstep or something like that.

  • @raebaesthe i understand you're point even though I just started listening to dubstep. The thing is the new generation hears the "new" form of dubstep and show it to their friends, but they don't know about older stuff. It's sad bc it's different but so damn good.

  • @raebaesthe Im new to Dubstep and I honestly cant stand the wobbles. Especially when half the song is wubwubwubwubwubwubbbbbwubdubwubdubdubdubdub. Just annoying shit.

  • @raebaesthe man i know exactly whatyou mean

  • @raebaesthe these kids man, these kids. they don't know! joker was my first, saw him at a pub basement thing in bristol. its all about the featherpost these days.

  • @raebaesthe Couldn't agree more, although I think dubstep had found its place on the scene a while before you bought South London Boroughs. Artwork's Red E.P. and J Da Flex's Lost 1z had already been sitting in my record box for 4 years by the time you bought that first William Bevan record...

  • @raebaesthe Hey, I'm a kid and I got into dubstep back in '06-'07 when the magic dust was still on everything. I know how you feel. I am surrounded by fucking Skrillex and Datsik fans all day. I played them some of this and told them it was dubstep and they asked where the wobble was .__.

Don't worry. I'm sure there's other 16 year olds who know what's good.

  • @raebaesthe well instead of complaining recommend something so maybe us kids can find the 'legitimate' dubstep fuckin wanker

  • @raebaesthe does your page have original dubs? i posted this b4 i checked of course, but yeah. just another hungry kid out there lookin to uench my thirst for so sickass tunage.

  • @raebaesthe bullshit. post a link

  • @raebaesthe I agree, its not just the wobble but some of the obnoxious noises coupled with the wobble, skrillex being a prime example of that nonsense. Kids want something crazy sounding and as obnoxious as themselves lol. My 13 yr old cousin loves "dubstep" and so many people also hate "dubstep" for the same reasons, its quite interesting really, we know what we like thats all that matters. you from the UK?

  • @raebaesthe so what ur saying is ... as time goes on ... people change ... and the music changes with them?

  • how do you listen to this entire track without being rippppped?

  • Chiptunes... and dubby bass? DOES NOT COMPUTE

  • yeaah ......niceeee !!!!

  • im sorry but where the hell is the bass drop?? its not true dubstep without a bass drop.

  • @LiveUnited28 because you're the authority on what is and what isn't 'true' dubstep? By the way, ever heard of understatement, or subtlety?

  • @LiveUnited28 You're a fucking tool

  • @LiveUnited28 retard, enjoy real dubstep.

  • @LiveUnited28 Ha, you obviously dont know what "true dupstep" is. Go back to your Rusko
