It's not just ego mate. It was Illayaraja's attitude at that particular period played the spoil sport. If you guys think properly it's not just Mani came out of Illayaraja's shade but a group of big directors like Bharathiraja, Bhagyaraj, Kathir and they never joined with him again. And that's the time when ARR and Deva utilised it the most.
