  • Promethea is the most amazing book i've ever had the pleasure to experience I dont think this review gives it the respect it deserves

  • @MrJuliajanemoore We agree. Some of our older reviews tending to veer off course. Hopefully you'll enjoy our newer episodes more.

  • Promethea is awesome but nor nfor everyone. Most people I've recommended it to found it very boring. A great series for those interested in the occult.

  • Easily the best comic reviewer I've ever seen.

  • Promethea is a work of genius

  • Promethea is a beautiful piece of work. It is my favorite work by Alan Moore.

  • @archer1949 The ideas covered in Promethea are significant enough to warrant translation into other languages, and adaptation into other media. Despite Moore's name, the comic is still fairly obscure.

  • For me, Promethea is not only the crowning achievement of Alan Moore's very distinguished career, but of the comic book medium itself. MOST HIGH praise indeed.

  • Awesome praise! While I prefer the stories in Miracleman, Watchmen and Supreme more, I think Promethea is the finest example of expanding and experimenting with the comics medium.

  • Well said!

  • Say, have any of you read Vol. 2 of the "Promethea" series? It's the best!

  • I've read the entire series, and I consider it required reading.

  • yeah, i read the trades, and by the end of book3 i was beginning to get a little tired of the preachy-ness and the info-overload. don't get me wrong i love alan moore, but i think he can be a little over indulgent at times. still he deserves to be i guess, considering all the brilliant works he's created.

  • Yes, my biggest criticism is that it ceases to be a story, and become a lesson in magic/philosophy. Still enjoyable though... :)

  • oh yeah absolutely, and promethea is such a great character, especially considering there still aren't that many 3-dimensional and realistic female comic characters out there (in my opinion). Moore often uses strong female leads to good effect. i guess he's got to that stage in his life where he just wants to write about what he loves, and its obvious this magic stuff etc means a lot to him and he writes about it very engagingly, so fair-does i say.

  • Yeah I noticed that also, his weirdo mojo is putting a hex on her

  • George and Kara have some chemistry...

  • NLP cheekiness
