  • I bet Avril Lavigne bought the rights from this too, listen to "Stop Standing There" lol

  • I bet Capcom had to buy the rights from the artist Journey.

  • How the heck TAS beat this guy with the Mega Buster? (Rhetorical Question)

  • very epic this music and stage

  • Bon Jovi - She Don't Know me

  • You're simply the best! Better than all the rest! Better than anyone... anyone I've ever met

  • arghhhhhhh stupid boss loll

  • This stage literally made me scream. Nice music, though.

  • Oh yeah I remember this one--best of all the whole game IMO.

  • 1 person thinks.... COD IS BETTER!!! KILL IT! KILL IT WITH FIREEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • and this is the song that comes to mind when i pay my electrical bill :P

  • So there's Cutman, Butsmrh, Icehan, Bombmrn, Fireham, and Elecnah. LOL

  • i miss this game..tnx dude. :)

  • This is my favorite song from the game. By the way, that one person couldn't beat Elec Man.

  • One of the best songs in teh entire series

  • Mega man disliked this

  • elec man=faithfully

  • TAILS'S WORST NIGHTMARE!

  • 240 p for awesome quality

  • Don't stop beliven'......

  • Roahmmythril's worst nightmare after Quick Mayn.

  • Whenever I have the Megaman selection scene on the mind, I imagine if in a Batman game you get to choose your villian fight stages anyway you want before the final stage.

  • @CodeLimit Faitully?! THIS IS FAITHFULLY BY THE JOURNEY!

  • @GogozRule The joke went right over your head.

  • Power up the Revolution! It's time for an evolution of Circuitry! Robots will lead!

  • I just beat the shit outta this guy last night.

The music kept me going. :3

  • this kinda sounds like journey's faithfully haa

  • SADDEST FUCKING SONG EVER

  • one word:EPIC!

  • Journey - Faithfully

  • Elec Man: "What are you doing here, Mega Man?"

Mega Man: "I've come to take you back!"

Elec Man: *pfft* "Please...when this fight is over, you'll be too SHOCKED to continue!"

  • SADDEST FUCKING SONG EVER

  • @LegendCorridor ...Okay, fine, I'm a dork! LOL

  • ENERGIZE!!!

  • My friends and I always come up with alternative lyrics to this song for some reason. The most popular among them being "Baby Doughnuts!"

  • Was it me, or did anyone else do the "Cabage Patch" dance to this song back in the day?

  • This and the 3 are the only Mega Mans that I never played...

  • Sounds like a Japanese song called Tough Boy: the two songs have certain parts that are similar.

  • I'm listening to this song as I work on my own 8-bit Megaman clone(Guncross), and it's bringing back childhood memories... :D.

On another note, Megaman 1 has a soundtrack that's quite unique to the series...I have yet to find another soundtrack like it in any other game. It's simple, yet it instantly burns it's self into your memory and has referances to various 70's and 80's rock songs.

  • @HoologansHoliday

    Prove it.

    Triple Dog Motherfucking Dare You.

  • For anyone who knows anything about music:

    Faithfully chords: B, Gm#, F#, E

    Elec Man chords: B, Fm#, Cm#, Em, F#

They share the first chord, and they're both descending patterns; meaning, they do sound the same, to a fool. The Elec man chord progression is emotionally deeper than Perry's. When you make this comparison you dishonor Manami Matsumae and Yoshihiro Sakaguchi, so cut it out.

  • @JamesFlanaganMusic

You are such a fucking nigger faggot, it's the same damn chords, I think you just hear shit incorrectly.

  • ELECTRIFYING!!!

  • Journey's Faithfully isn't the only song that sounds a lot like this one. Check out the "Duel 04" theme from Yugioh Tag Force. watch?v=GVlGcwqZG1M

  • @LaRiviera Sounds like

    Journey – “Faithfully” (1983)

    R.E.M. – “All the Right Friends” (1983)

Cheap Trick – “Way of the World” (1979)

  • dude wth..... i heard this song in an ad for wiess bars on tv. o.o

  • It's a lot like that journey song XD

  • On every fucking Elec Man music vid, I get Jouney in the suggestions.

    WHY

  • @CanadiensUnplugged Listen to the song Faithfully by Journey. They sound very similar

  • @hslesperance I'm aware of that. It's just that Youtube likes messing with my mind is all.

  • I hop everyone knows this it technicaly Faithfully by Journey

  • @athfcoz I've always knew this sounded like that.

  • ... this music... such power... the musics beggining resemblance to the beggining of Faithfully by the Journery... is... *gasp* its... OVER NINE THOUSAND!!!! but... what is this... it appears to be sped up... oh well.

  • <3's this stage's music

  • @ThePcTrickster you better hope capcom doesnt see ur comment or well be seeing erec man in the next mega man game.......

  • @CodeLimit That was genius!

  • @ThePcTrickster LOL!

  • ...how did I used to not like this song?

  • Wooh-oh-oooh-oh

    Wooh-oh-oooh-oh

  • Everyone is making comparisons to Journey, R.E.M., and Bon Jovi, but no one has seemed to notice that the very beginning sounds like Daft Punk's Cresendolls. It also reminds me of Da Funk. You think Daft Punk are Megaman fans?

  • @thapoint09 that's because faithfully was recorded before the first megaman game was even released.

  • @partyhatpker: That's not the point. The point is no one seemed to notice the similarity between this and the drum intro of Crescendolls. Seriously, look it up.

  • Electric Man Theme: Basically Journey's "Faithfully," but a million times more awesome.

  • lol, Faithfully was 1983, Mega Man was 1987. Looks like someone over at Capcom was a Journey fan...

  • This has always sounded like a super hero song to me. I guess that since I was playing one of the greatest super heroes of our day, the song just fit the occasion:)

  • YOU GOT:

    HURT

  • This has to be the heaviest intro of any NES game song.....

  • I swear to god, this sounds exactly the same as Faithfully by Journey, when I first heard Faithfully, I didn't know to either cry or laugh, because it sounds exactly like Elec Man's theme. XD

  • @TehLonelyGamer True it does. But u didnt have to swear to God, even if its true o.o

  • @TheMassacre231 Lol. What came first, Faithfully or Elec Man?

  • @TehLonelyGamer My cat o.o Lol i dont know when faithfully came out so im sticking with Elec Man since this game came out like 1987 o.o

  • @TheMassacre231 I'm sticking with Elec Man too.

  • @TheMassacre231 FYI: Journey's "Faithfully" came out in 1983.

  • @TehLonelyGamer Better question: which came first, "Faithfully" by Journey, "All the Right Friends" by R.E.M., "She Don't Know Me" by Bon Jovi, or Elec Man's theme?

  • @OmegaManZX I have no idea. I'm still sticking with Elec Man though.

  • @OmegaManZX "All the Right Friends." It was one of the first songs REM wrote, but they never officially released it until the Vanilla Sky soundtrack.

  • While the first 30 seconds are pretty good, the last 13 make up the best part, IMO.

  • This is my favorite song from megaman 1

  • "I got chills !

    They're multiplying !

    Cause the power...

    You're supplying !

    IT'S ELECTRIFYING !"

  • is it just me, or is this song an 8-bit version of journey's faithfully?

  • He's ELECTRIFYING!

  • Peter Griifin: i am not your dad, i am Elec Man.

  • When I showed my bro that it sounds exactly like Faithfully he freaked out

  • @ 29 secs..love the little effect where it sounds like its running up the piano

  • Power up the revolution~

    It's time for an evolution

    of circuitry~

    Robots will lead~

  • Whoever composed this song totally ripped off Journey's "Faithfully".

  • that's the point

  • I'd say it's closer to R.E.M.'s All the Right Friends.

  • True. It's pretty close to that one too.

  • @bobothemonkeydog One guy pointed out at least 4 songs it's similar to.

  • @Ringo84 Indeed, and this game came out only a few years after the song was composed. :O

  • tuuuuune =OKorl7Ouht0

  • The first is my favorite of the Mega Man games. I'm not sure why. Out of the 8-bit games (8-bit FTW) 2 and 9 share a close 2nd place, I didn't really like 3 much, and I haven't played 4, 5, and 6 enough to find out if I like them.

  • I'm Elec Man,

    I'm Elec Man,

    I'm the Electric Man,

    You will get zapped *zap*

    I'm Elec Man,

    Born in Japan,

Thunder Beam kills you in... 3 hits.

  • whoa that sounds more awesome InterrobangPie

i think im getting jealous <:3

  • Think you can take me on?

    You'll never stand a chance,

    We'll just wait and see.

    Come into my lair

I'll give you a good taste of

    ELECTRICITY!

  • Actually, I was thinking of including Pikachu somewhere in them. :P

  • @InterrobangPie SO FUCKIN' WIN

  • @InterrobangPie

Can I use those in a with lyrics video? I'll be sure to credit you in it. I will use them if you do not respond in the next day.

  • @TheMarioMan1 Um, no. Sorry. :(

  • @InterrobangPie

    same goes for Ice man

  • @InterrobangPie Holy shit those are some good lyrics XD. Awesome!

  • @InterrobangPie

    Awesomness

  • @ Poisonnachos you're probably thinking of the metropolis zone from Sonic 2.

  • OVAR 9000/10

  • Música de Mega Man es impresionante!

  • I always hear the buzzing from those electrical blocks from his stage randomly when listening to this song O.o

    Yay for SFX imprinting :D

  • I'm Elec Man

    I'm Elec Man

    I'm the Electric Man

    You will get zapped *zap*

  • YOU GET:

    GOOD SONG LYRICS

  • this song is so awesome that i even created lyrics from this song but InterrobangPie's lyrics are way more awesome

  • @TrueMario

    :3

  • hey man do you have the song that plays before the stage begins the one when the boss is in the tv screen???

if yes send it to me please

  • Probably my favorite Megaman theme song.

  • Speaking of Bass&Treble, like I said before:

    Bass equals = Zero-Two apparently, a Fallen (Corrupted-Twisted-Evil-Robotic) Angel (Eye-Dye).

  • (CTRL+X)

    The best way to win.

  • It's a pity they didn't add more of the bass sounds at the beginning. That would have made it sound less like a Legend of Zelda 2 song.

  • haha it sounds like journey my friend said haha i have to agree

  • make it longer

  • That's wha-

    ah... what's the point...

  • hardest megaman mavericks of the 1st, elec man, fire man and cut man, they are killers in the last level

  • While this music sounds great, I'm wondering why Capcom didn't get in trouble for plagiarism?

The music is vaguely similar to the MASK theme song.

  • As in the movie? The Mask movie came out in 1994. Mega Man came out in 1987.

  • LOL two hits = die

  • He is my very first smart robot master.

The images of your hard stage and thunder beam are still in my head. : D

  • Elecky's my favorite MM1 robot master. :3

  • THAT'S why I recognized this music back when I used to play this game. Holy crap. It's JOURNEY. Awesome.

  • You may have heard Faithfully by Journey the beginning is the same almost.

  • Elec Man is all over the place in older music. "All the Right Friends" by R.E.M. "She Don't Know Me," by Bon Jovi. And I'm sure there are others.

  • Faithfully by Journey

  • listening to thrilling songs and dying all the time in a terrible hard game, thats mega man spirt lol

  • Hell yeah

  • most annoying stage in mm1

  • definatly

  • don't forget tango! and gospel!! oh, wait gospel is treble...

    oh! blues(protoman)

  • Cool boss, Cool weapon, Cool music

  • Journey: Faithfully

  • Good strategy when fighting Elec Man:

Use the Rolling Cutters, he's weak to those. Oh, and DON'T GET HIT. His Thunder Beam is fucking nasty.

  • Is it just me or does this sound vaguely like Bon Jovi's Runaway?

  • Okay, seriously; listen to Runaway and tell me that this doesn't sound vaguely like it.

  • Hmm sort of. I can see where you'd get the idea from, but they're not too similar.

  • It's more similar to journey's Faithfully, as someone else has said.

  • Holy shit it does.

  • 2nd best in the series

  • i through elec man was one of the worst ones lol

  • How is a rock weak against lightning? just curious

  • Gutsman is strong against cutman

    Cutman is strogn against elecman

    Elecman is strong against Iceman

    Iceman is strong against fireman

    Fireman is strong aginst Bombman

    Bombman is strong against Gutsman

  • But he's also good against megaman, who is based on rocks, hence the ocg name "Rockman"

  • Well the name Rockman comes from the music genre, so maybe it's like overloading an amp like in the beginning of Back to the Future? Haha, that's all I can think of.

  • Bass, Roll, Rock, Beat, Trebble. Those are all music based.

  • hmm. I figured out Rock and Roll as well as Beat, but never realized the other ones. How interesting

  • Comment removed

  • dont your radios or speakers have a treble dial on them

  • lol. Yeah, I noticed a few days ago that my Dad's car had a Bass and Treble thing both as one button. It made me smile. :)

  • <333

  • That's probably because at the time they wanted Megaman to have his own weakness like all of the other Robot Masters.

    Nowadays Elecman isn't as powerful.

  • Elec Man is the only boss i can't beat using only Mega Buster

  • 0:01 - Best part of the theme... gotta love those 8-bit drums.

  • I think this song is probably the most megaman-like in the entire series, if that makes any sense. It's the kinda sound that you'd never hear in any other video game series except megaman

  • the guitar part is so fun. and the stage and boss and song hahaha way more fun than playing a boring guitar lol

  • Elecman is not only the most powerful robot master of Megaman 1 in my opinion. I would say that he's the most powerful robot master in all Megaman games for Nes. It's barely possible to beat him without Cutman's weapon. My favourite robot master ever.

  • the bass part is so sick in this.

  • I'm so happy, thanks for this, it makes me cry!

  • ice man looks like a grown up form of popo from ice climbers
