The archaic idea that we are incapable of looking through the telescope with any Less curiosity or appreciation, for what we see, is False. In fact when a Christian does it, they do so with Gratitude & Humility. A Christian has no doubt as to WHO is responsible for such awesome beauty & complexity. Cosmology does NOT disprove HIM at all
@pancakemix15 I don't know about you but maybe if they replaced him with and American speaker or maybe a different British person I'd feel better, i'm just sayin
can and does jesus control EVERY atom in the universe , since big bang and decide when stars explode how many particles there are where they go , all the other space objects , other universes. see how ridiculous it sounds to call him god
Before people defend religion, they shoud study history and learn all the 'good things' it made, after that, they will be able to take a better decision. Anyway, religion is just an small idea in the mind of small creatures living on a particle of sand wich is in a big desert.
True scientists are interested in how things work, how things came to be; exploring the possibilities of what they don't even know exists yet but have the imagination and the desire to explore. Science and God are not competing but one looks at the creation of the other. Science is the study of and the desire to help create a better place but being human and flawed there are many mistakes made and I wish someone could really invent a time machine so that I could undo what I mistakenly did.
If anything, the general view of god shouldn't be the arrogant ideal of a twisted omnipotent humanoid figure who built the universe and then left his creations unattended (after a few thousand years of evilly and violently manipulating them) to kill each other and die in his name; it should be of the stars that provide and care for us day after day and year after year, and have done so for countless eons since its creation and will for billions of years more, even after humanity is long dead.
can't u see that the entire universe IS this so-called god because everything that happens there, outside of earths atmosphere affects life on earth. and events that have happened in the past have created life on earth in the first place. So in this scale - god can be defined as a mixture of materials and their specialities reacting with each other and those reactions create outcomes that realease either total/partial devastation on creation upon us.
The day we recognize and realize what we are, thats the day we will learn that theres no reason or motive to hate or kill each other. That day Mother Nature will be happy and proud of the burden she bears, that beautiful process called life.

@FranAssis brO come on, im trying to give a good argument here!
Lol look What Im saying is that nothing makes nothing.... And the universe is perfect, how does your body work? Thats something that we dont even have to go to the outer space to see how perfect god makes things. HOw you think you breathe ? Why is there life here at earth and suitable for us, humans? WHat is there was only life, but lets say at 200 farenheit every day! C'mon, get rea,l dude, Someday you will see how god mighty is!
if it was not god that created it then it was gods of some sort because it exists and if nothing existed,,,,,fuck that im not even gonna say the word exist again oh wait i just did my bad
@FranAssis Hey do you think we are made out of nowhere? How can our Planet Which is perfectly distanced from the sun to be life-capable and in the perfect position (1 more inclined degree = no one of us would exist) and which carries out so many natural processes like photosynthesis which are done by FREAKIN plants! How can such a perfect universe could not be created by God, the almighty!
Let me tell you,my friend, something is NOT created out of Nothing! The Universe was not formed!WAS MADE!
@simioneitor1975 made where? by who? grow up man, there's no easter bunny, there's no tooth fairy there's no santa and there's no god. the distance between the earth and the sun it's NOT an argument for the existence of a god, there are BILLIONS of planets in the universe, some of them are in a propitius distance of their respective star, some are too close and others are too far.

@MyJesusRox19 Hahaha, you stupid illiterate christian. There's a world of physics out there waiting to be explored. Indulge yourself in it and decide whether or not you still believe in god. If you choose not to then you are closed minded.
I also thought i'd point out that there is no such thing as a religious scientist, if one claims to be one, then he/she is not a real scientist. The idea of it is preposterous.
@FranAssis1 Who said he made it for us? Earth is the only thing we have so i don't think it's for us but the Universe is a Prison so we can't or is impossible to escape from ;)
If you don't understand portuguese, i can translate for you later.
@FranAssis1 That's if you're devoutly christian and blindly follow beliefs. I would say that if there is a god that is more than likely that he isn't even aware of our existence or is aware but we are not of that much importance to him.
@MrMoozic i didn't say that is a fact, you did it, in my opinion we can create infinite explanations about the "creation" of the universe, the difference between me and someone like you is that i prefer to give credit to science wich is much better than religion in several aspects.
@ThePuckington That's the reason why people made up god, because they couldn't imagine anything that doesnt resamble themselves to have made something like this.
@DJHermeler God can mean any sort of unbelievable being. A being that even through a thought is beyond comprehension. You see, I believe in Gaia, but that some sort of consciousness control all of this. Through the simple merging of 2 immense gasses right to our complex eyes. What came before the substances in which created the big bang, and that, and that and so forth. Something, somewhere, somehow inbetween time itself brought all this to being what is.
@DJHermeler If before the universe was before forever, the gasses would not move without a consciousness to make it so. The sun, gives off rays of energy, these magnetic waves of energy change our magnetic fields on earth and in turn, change the way we think or the way we evolve. The sun is more alive than we know, or than we've been taught. It sustains life but communicates in its own ways. As does this universe. Just as a plant is still. Yet lives.
@DJHermeler the coincidences are to strong. Just like the butterfly effect, something so small can drastically change the future. I believe in spirituality. I believe in everything, when you have an open mind to all possibilites, the truth of this world, the aim of our lives, the way everything works. You'll see life differently. I can assure you. Things aren't as coincidental as you'd think. As with this universe.
@ThePuckington When you have an open mind to all possibilities anyone can deceive you, now, you are deceiving yourserlf: you cannot believe in everything 'cause a lot of things are opposite, finally things CAN be just coincidence, someone said once that "something that could be unimaginable in a hundred years can be unavoidable in a million years." if you really has an open mind, then you will think about that.
@FranAssis1 I have a mind to all possibilites so if i'm proved wrong I can adjust what I know. People cannot deceive me because I don't listen to everyone unless I research evidence to back their words. If someone says to me God exists, I will open my mind to God, to allow him to show me. 'someone once said' isn't that a contradiction also. In my time it is unimaginable so I shall embrace that. I have an open mind with peace. I'm not ignorant to disbelieve anyone's beliefs.
@ThePuckington are you christian catholic or what is your religion but besides that i agree many people are ignorant and don't want to believe anything, these people are the ones who shunned god and haven't seen his light
@Macster41 I'm still finding God, and I'm going to start reading both the Qu'ran and the bible. I can understand if someone chooses not to believe in God, but what makes it so that they are angry with religion? Man has manipulated religion for corruption, depicts the minority who abuse it for the mainstream media, and everyone swallows it assuming this is how religious people really are. That is why I defend God. Because of ignorance.
@ThePuckington So if I make a machine so far ahead of it's time and complex it would have to have been made by god or some other power instead of me because it is just too amazing and unbelievable? The coincidence could not happen?
@DJHermeler Where did your mind come from? Where did you get the resources to make this machine. Also technology comes with time and responsibility. We have advance technology but we use it to build nukes. No one can disprove God, but only an individual can find evidence within himself. You don't tell someone they didn't have a dream they just had do you? So how can people tell other people they don't have experiences with God. That is why people are ignorant.
@migbee That a consciousness put all this together. Does not have to be a 'father' figure, that is for you to believe. But don't asume that a supreme consciousness can be defined. Earth is conscious, hence how it sustains us. Anything could be that consiousness. I just believe that it is God, as he is guiding me in that direction. But don't let that blind you to what I am saying.
thats a silly argument. So based on what you are telling me, if a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it then it doesn't make a sound right? Thats what your saying. By your reasoning, i guess we shouldn't believe in colors either since if there were no people to perceive them, colors wouldn't exist. Don't be a fool. This video makes it obvious that a higher intelligence exists, and it would whether or not we could recognize it. Objective truth is a beautiful thing.
filamentary electric currents of millions of volt lightnings mix various gases like a primordial soup where most of the material needed to form a galaxy comes from a single star. these violent currents prevent solid matter from stay solid. the electric forces become so strong that the molecules won't hold together. nasa does not show the pictures in the whole EM spectrum. they also darken out interconnection of these filamentary currents between galaxies and quasars.
Wow that supernova gas look pretty cool :] it's so weird to lay here at night looking at these videos than looking up and thinking what the hell is out there! Were obviously not the only intelligent creatures in fact there are superior races and we think were the "best" psh bullshit were stupid can't even use our brain to it's fullest :|
I think its silly to say that if we don't know something a God must exist to explain it. There are many things that we attributed to "God" in the past such as natural disasters to the northern lights. But now we know how those happen and they are not caused by God. We will learn these answers eventually but trust me when I say there is no God that created the universe.
@DrumJack234 Time Magazine published a story in 1976 in which scientists really found so much in common with the Biblical account of creation in terms of imagining the initial void. The big bang may have been the work of God all along and we've been arguing about the same thing but with just different beliefs of origin. For me, I know God did it.
@DrumJack234 Do you mean the dust for the first stars? The answer to that is i don't know. The dust for new stars are the dust nebulae are made of. And there is dust all over the universe.
there are all those planets and stars out there, yes i believe and know that. ive never done research with a telescope and seen them, but i take others word for it.
when you look into the night sky, its obvious,
no one can say they know. they think or have and idea, or hope or even wish.
again. i do not have the "right" answer, nor does anyone. our government may or may not have secrets about the universe, there is talk of Nasa being under control of the illuminate ( if you believe in that stuff) so it could very well lead into a whole other conversation which would turn into an argument about religion.
but when people say, I know there has to be, or when criticize others for not agreeing with their hypothesis, it gets a little frustrating,
part 5: being the only planet in the entire universe to support life seems to me, as a matter of probability, extremely unlikely." because others have claimed to be abducted or see aliens, or just simply because the universe is so large, does not give us the right to say we know for sure." Once again, I never said anything about absolute certainty, only about probability, and if we do discover life, say on mars, it will be in the form of microorganisms, not cognitive beings. -§age
part4: our solar system. There are also 100 billion known galaxies in the universe, each made up of 100s of billions of stars themselves. So you can do the math and imagine how many trillions of planets are possible, and many of these planets have been photographed by the hubble telescope to be similar to earth. So we are dealing with probabilityat this point. Also, water is an extremely common element in the universe and is essential to life, so my argument is that the odds of our little planet
Part3: the unimaginable distance that those lifeforms would have had to travel.... and by all mathematical calculations it would be impossible for any sort of craft to have enough fuel or the capability of travelling such a distance. "but to say that since something is so big, there has to be life there. is not ( in my opinion ) the correct way to view it." That is not my argument. There are, say, 400 billion stars int he milky way galaxy, okay? Each star is a sun, and our sun forms
Part 2: "i think it would be cool if there were other life out there. but we have not had any proof. our government may but we the people do not have a yes or no answer," The reality is that I am 99.999% sure that the government has not discovered intelligent life on other planets, and this life would have been discovered by scientists, and I really doubt our government is competent enough to keep such a secret from getting out. The next problem with intelligent life visiting Earth is
i believe thousands of planets support life, but only have it in animal for, we are the smartest out there, but sadly our intelligence will be our own destruction...
i agree... :C people are too stupid that it is EXTREMELY rare for life in space, and that it should not be wasted because our own intelligance on killing ourselves... car dealers are faggots
@crackerguy19 Really? You need proof.... Hmm theres 100s of billions of galaxies out there and 100s of billions of stars + Planets in the galaxies.... Theres obviously somthing else out there
9 people are from different galaxy

@FranAssis1 Who said he made it for us? Earth is the only thing we have so i don't think it's for us but the Universe is a Prison so we can't or is impossible to escape from ;)
oslyx 2 months ago
If you don't understand portuguese, i can translate for you later.
FranAssis1 2 months ago
@FranAssis1 That's if you're devoutly christian and blindly follow beliefs. I would say that if there is a god that is more than likely that he isn't even aware of our existence or is aware but we are not of that much importance to him.
Angel0fAnarchy 2 months ago
@FranAssis1 how can a man be convinced at 100% of the fact that god didn't make all that ?
MrMoozic 2 months ago
@MrMoozic i didn't say that is a fact, you did it, in my opinion we can create infinite explanations about the "creation" of the universe, the difference between me and someone like you is that i prefer to give credit to science wich is much better than religion in several aspects.
FranAssis1 2 months ago
@FranAssis1 Because its so amazing?
ThePuckington 2 months ago
@ThePuckington That's the reason why people made up god, because they couldn't imagine anything that doesnt resamble themselves to have made something like this.
DJHermeler 2 months ago
@DJHermeler God can mean any sort of unbelievable being. A being that even through a thought is beyond comprehension. You see, I believe in Gaia, but that some sort of consciousness control all of this. Through the simple merging of 2 immense gasses right to our complex eyes. What came before the substances in which created the big bang, and that, and that and so forth. Something, somewhere, somehow inbetween time itself brought all this to being what is.
ThePuckington 2 months ago
@ThePuckington Then where did "gaia" come from? If it was here forever why couldn't the before of the universe always have been here?
DJHermeler 2 months ago
@DJHermeler If before the universe was before forever, the gasses would not move without a consciousness to make it so. The sun, gives off rays of energy, these magnetic waves of energy change our magnetic fields on earth and in turn, change the way we think or the way we evolve. The sun is more alive than we know, or than we've been taught. It sustains life but communicates in its own ways. As does this universe. Just as a plant is still. Yet lives.
ThePuckington 2 months ago
@ThePuckington Why doesn't every planet in our solar system have life then? All you are talking about is that coincidences can't be coincidences.
DJHermeler 2 months ago
@DJHermeler the coincidences are to strong. Just like the butterfly effect, something so small can drastically change the future. I believe in spirituality. I believe in everything, when you have an open mind to all possibilites, the truth of this world, the aim of our lives, the way everything works. You'll see life differently. I can assure you. Things aren't as coincidental as you'd think. As with this universe.
ThePuckington 2 months ago
@ThePuckington When you have an open mind to all possibilities anyone can deceive you, now, you are deceiving yourserlf: you cannot believe in everything 'cause a lot of things are opposite, finally things CAN be just coincidence, someone said once that "something that could be unimaginable in a hundred years can be unavoidable in a million years." if you really has an open mind, then you will think about that.
FranAssis1 2 months ago
@FranAssis1 I have a mind to all possibilites so if i'm proved wrong I can adjust what I know. People cannot deceive me because I don't listen to everyone unless I research evidence to back their words. If someone says to me God exists, I will open my mind to God, to allow him to show me. 'someone once said' isn't that a contradiction also. In my time it is unimaginable so I shall embrace that. I have an open mind with peace. I'm not ignorant to disbelieve anyone's beliefs.
ThePuckington 2 months ago
@ThePuckington are you christian catholic or what is your religion but besides that i agree many people are ignorant and don't want to believe anything, these people are the ones who shunned god and haven't seen his light
Macster41 2 months ago
@Macster41 I'm still finding God, and I'm going to start reading both the Qu'ran and the bible. I can understand if someone chooses not to believe in God, but what makes it so that they are angry with religion? Man has manipulated religion for corruption, depicts the minority who abuse it for the mainstream media, and everyone swallows it assuming this is how religious people really are. That is why I defend God. Because of ignorance.
ThePuckington 2 months ago
@ThePuckington So if I make a machine so far ahead of it's time and complex it would have to have been made by god or some other power instead of me because it is just too amazing and unbelievable? The coincidence could not happen?
DJHermeler 2 months ago
@DJHermeler Where did your mind come from? Where did you get the resources to make this machine. Also technology comes with time and responsibility. We have advance technology but we use it to build nukes. No one can disprove God, but only an individual can find evidence within himself. You don't tell someone they didn't have a dream they just had do you? So how can people tell other people they don't have experiences with God. That is why people are ignorant.
ThePuckington 2 months ago
@ThePuckington You are ASSUMING... Stop acting like your ASSUMPTIONS are the same as KNOWLEDGE...
migbee 1 month ago
@migbee Explain the assumption.
ThePuckington 1 month ago
@ThePuckington You assume that this universe must have been created by an eternal father figure, or do you not?
migbee 1 month ago
@migbee That a consciousness put all this together. Does not have to be a 'father' figure, that is for you to believe. But don't asume that a supreme consciousness can be defined. Earth is conscious, hence how it sustains us. Anything could be that consiousness. I just believe that it is God, as he is guiding me in that direction. But don't let that blind you to what I am saying.
ThePuckington 1 month ago
@FranAssis1
how can a man look at this and dare say there is no god at all?
wittenberg5 2 months ago
@wittenberg5 Because if there were no people to imagine it, there would be no signs of god anywhere else.
DJHermeler 2 months ago
@DJHermeler
thats a silly argument. Objective truth is a beautiful thing.
wittenberg5 2 months ago
@wittenberg5 "Don't be a fool, base all your life decisions on this outlandish 2000 year old myth!"

@FranAssis1 God didn't make all of this just for "us", he did it for himself, which includes us, but is not limited to.

filamentary electric currents of millions of volt lightnings mix various gases like a primordial soup where most of the material needed to form a galaxy comes from a single star. these violent currents prevent solid matter from stay solid. the electric forces become so strong that the molecules won't hold together. nasa does not show the pictures in the whole EM spectrum. they also darken out interconnection of these filamentary currents between galaxies and quasars.

I think its silly to say that if we don't know something a God must exist to explain it. There are many things that we attributed to "God" in the past such as natural disasters to the northern lights. But now we know how those happen and they are not caused by God. We will learn these answers eventually but trust me when I say there is no God that created the universe.

and all this happend because of the big bang???? there is a God who put thought into making the universe.
DrumJack234 11 months ago
@DrumJack234 Time Magazine published a story in 1976 in which scientists really found so much in common with the Biblical account of creation in terms of imagining the initial void. The big bang may have been the work of God all along and we've been arguing about the same thing but with just different beliefs of origin. For me, I know God did it.
halftimesportscards 11 months ago
@DrumJack234 The universe is completely random, there is absolutely no "thought" put into it.
maxergud 10 months ago
@maxergud and how do you know this?
DrumJack234 10 months ago
@DrumJack234 We can see how stars and dust clouds and meterors are created and move about, and it's all perfectly random.
maxergud 10 months ago
@maxergud i am sure that stars can move....im not doubting that. The stars didnt just come to be with nothing......a God made them
DrumJack234 10 months ago
@DrumJack234 Stars are made of dust. we can see how they are made. in nebulae
maxergud 10 months ago
@maxergud Then were did the dust come from?
DrumJack234 10 months ago
@DrumJack234 Do you mean the dust for the first stars? The answer to that is i don't know. The dust for new stars are the dust nebulae are made of. And there is dust all over the universe.
maxergud 10 months ago
no one knows for certain,
there are all those planets and stars out there, yes i believe and know that. ive never done research with a telescope and seen them, but i take others word for it.
when you look into the night sky, its obvious,
no one can say they know. they think or have and idea, or hope or even wish.
crackerguy19 1 year ago
well said brother,
again. i do not have the "right" answer, nor does anyone. our government may or may not have secrets about the universe, there is talk of Nasa being under control of the illuminate ( if you believe in that stuff) so it could very well lead into a whole other conversation which would turn into an argument about religion.
but when people say, I know there has to be, or when criticize others for not agreeing with their hypothesis, it gets a little frustrating,
crackerguy19 1 year ago
part 5: being the only planet in the entire universe to support life seems to me, as a matter of probability, extremely unlikely." because others have claimed to be abducted or see aliens, or just simply because the universe is so large, does not give us the right to say we know for sure." Once again, I never said anything about absolute certainty, only about probability, and if we do discover life, say on mars, it will be in the form of microorganisms, not cognitive beings. -§age
SageTheAtheist 1 year ago
part4: our solar system.
SageTheAtheist 1 year ago
Part3: the unimaginable distance that those lifeforms would have had to travel.... and by all mathematical calculations it would be impossible for any sort of craft to have enough fuel or the capability of travelling such a distance. "but to say that since something is so big, there has to be life there. is not ( in my opinion ) the correct way to view it." That is not my argument. There are, say, 400 billion stars int he milky way galaxy, okay? Each star is a sun, and our sun forms
SageTheAtheist 1 year ago
Part 2: "i think it would be cool if there were other life out there. but we have not had any proof. our government may but we the people do not have a yes or no answer," The reality is that I am 99.999% sure that the government has not discovered intelligent life on other planets, and this life would have been discovered by scientists, and I really doubt our government is competent enough to keep such a secret from getting out. The next problem with intelligent life visiting Earth is
